Here, you'll have time to explore its towering walls and uncover the pivotal role it played in shaping the nations history. We then head to the charming Welsh village of Betws-y-Coed situated in the heart of the National Park. The village, which was once a place for pilgrims, became a hub for artist and authors who took inspiration form the scenery and landscapes that surround it. It’s a wonderful stop on the tour and a great place for some free time to explore.

Unlike other tours, we take you inside the castle and guide you round in a small group, so you get the time to ask questions and learn about this fascinating castle. We even pay your entrance fee. Learn about the history of the castle and why it has such a special role in Welsh history. Stand on the spot where Princes of Wales have been crowned and even see the room where the first Prince of Wales was born. You can walk the castle walls and up to the top of the Eagle tower. Followiing the guided tour you get 30 minutes free time to either spend in the castle or in Caernarfon's excellent shops.

Caernarfon is one of Wales's oldest settlements. It was where the Romans established a strategic fort and where centuries later Edward I King of England built one of Britain's most symbolic fortifications. On this walking tour, you’ll explore its cobbled streets, learning about daily life, how the town has been governed over the years, and why the Welsh language is so important today. The bravest will march confidently along the top whilst the more nervous will be on all fours with most people managing a bit of both!
