What makes us unique is the fact that we are the only tour guides that operate in this area of El Yunque. We only do small groups in small vehicles. No huge 14-28 passenger busses. This tour visits a hidden, remote and “secret” part of El Yunque. This tour DOES NOT go to the “slides." This isn’t a touristy spot and you cannot find these places on your own. We almost certainly will be the only people in the area. This day trip is guaranteed to be the highlight of your entire stay in the island. Come with us to explore an off-the-beaten path trail. This hike is to areas in El Yunque that are quite virgin, meaning that human interaction in the area is minimal. El Yunque is a unique ecosystem, quite different from any other areas. The area is also rich in history, which you will learn on the drive. The drive is breathtakingly beautiful and the rainforest even more so. This tour includes river crossings, blue pools of pristine water, cliff jumping and adventure for all. Don't miss out!

This guided adventure will allow us to connect with the natural meeting between the warm waters of the bay and the lush jungle. Most of the hike is in the shade of the jungle canopy. The scenic bus ride along the bay is about 30 minutes each way. The hike is about 1.5 hours each way but we have the additional time we will spend at the most beautiful beaches on the bay of Playa Colomitas, Playa Caballo, and Playa Madagascar where swimming is very popular. Our final destination is Playa Las Animas for lunch. All are welcome to choose their own restaurant or join the guide at his favorite. We should have at least 2 to 3 hours to spend for lunch and enjoy the beach in Las Animas before we return by boat to Boca and the bus ride to PV. (Not included is any food and beverages, 10 pesos each way bus ride, and return boat ride approx. 200 pesos. ) Hiking back to Boca is an option for you doubling your hiking experience. Unfortunately these inaccuracies are not easy for a suppiler to change. This is a great activity for the right people and I dont wish to mislead anyone. I host and interact with my guests on Whats App. Its not a guided hiking tour. I am a scavenger hunt host and have hunts in both Taos and Santa Fe. This isnt really a scavenger hunt. Its much slower paced, creative and is more about connecting with the land. There are creative exercises. I do give you interesting background on the area but i am not a biologist who is qualified to explain the eco system of the river. if you play this solo, I am happy to host you but know that i cannot provide you with a group to play with. id say a degree of being comfortable alone on hiking trails is essential if you book solo.

This small group on and off-road 4-5 hour experience includes a quick ride up Nadi’s back road, past the biggest Hindu Temple in the South Pacific and then it’s time for the off-roading adventure to begin in the Nakala Mountains. Splash through mud puddles (a seasonal offering), zip by cane fields and ride higher up the pine forest mountainside before stopping on a mountain plateau overlooking the Mamanuca's. Here you'll enjoy light snacks whilst admiring stunning views. Then drive another 11km inwards to reach Yavuna Village where only Go Dirty Tours and their guests can enter.
