This tour is unique since you will visit the Xochimilco ecological reserve to appreciate the sunrise. A specialized guide will train you to use the kayak and will accompany you on the tour. The itinerary is as follows: First Laguna de Teshuilo, It is the first point that you can visit, of this lagoon that is recognized by the locals as the place of celebration during Holy Week. Also to Isla de las Muñecas, second point where you can see the famous Isla de las Muñecas created by Julián Santana. Lastly, Canal de Apampilco, this representative canal because it is one of the oldest canals and its tradition says that the Aplantles existed that give biodiversity to the Xochimilco wetland. Throughout the walk you will see the traditional chimapas that were created by the Xochimilca civilization for the cultivation of flowers and vegetables. This kayak tour sets off to see a few of the many precious gems of Door County. You will experience thousand year old caves, ancient fossils, and Whitefish Dunes State Park. After an introductory lesson and a calm launch from a location north of Cave Point, you'll follow the coast until seeing the coves of Cave Point County Park where you'll creep along listening to the wonderful sound of the water and enjoying the view of the caves. Then explore the caves with the kayaks, and finally head towards Whitefish Bay Dunes State Park. At this point, you will turn around and return to the launch location or head to the take-out point at the Whitefish Bay Town boat launch (dependent upon the wind). The caves are not viewable from the land. We collect our guests at their accommodation free of charge, in Swakopmund and along the coast to Walvisbay. All other companies want you to use or find your own transport to Walvisbay. We include a light lunch and drinks. We use new modern unsinkable Kayaks easy for anybody to use and that do not capsize. Everybody gets a life jacket and the guide will coach you on the use of the Kayak. No previous experience required. Its a must do for the active traveler.
