The Mojave Desert is a xeric desert in the rain shadow of the Sierra Nevada mountains in the Southwestern United States. It is named for the indigenous Mojave people. It is located primarily in southeastern California and southwestern Nevada, with small portions extending into Arizona and Utah. Valley of Fire State Park is a public recreation and nature preservation area covering nearly 46,000 acres (19,000 ha) located 16 miles (26 km) south of Overton, Nevada.The state park derives its name from red sandstone formations, the Aztec Sandstone, which formed from shifting sand dunes 150 million years ago.These features, which are the centerpiece of the park's attractions, often appear to be on fire when reflecting the sun's rays. This is a trip to the center of Madeira Island, where extraordinary mountains with cloud-covered ridges descend to the verdant valleys in the most spectacular way. Our excursion begins with a visit to the Mirador do Pico dos Barcelos (from this place it is possible to contemplate a panoramic view of the bay and the city of Funchal). We then proceed to Eira do Serrado, a viewpoint located at 1094 meters above the parish of Curral das Freiras. Then we went to the small village of Curral das Freiras. The enormous cauldron in which the Curral das Freiras is situated was formed by erosion, which is the latest theory, or, as many still believe, by volcanic activity. The village is very isolated and the inhabitants live mainly from what they cultivate. The local chestnuts are delicious and are used in daily cooking. Every year, the inhabitants celebrate the 'Chestnut Festival', for which the village is famous.

The Isonzo front took place here – a treacherous mountain combat in high altitudes and impossible life conditions. You can still see the tracks of the battle everywhere. A visit of the biggest waterfall in Slovenia will follow. Waterfall Boka is 106 high and 18 wide and it is hard not to be impressed by it. After the traditional lunch at a local restaurant we will continue towards Ljubljana and stop in Kranjska Gora – the biggest alpine resort in Slovenia. It is the home of our biggest alpine skiing race – the Vitranc cup. A great place to take a walk and find your inner peace.
