You will first meet the Sameera Tours driver and proceed to Yala National Park. We met your safari guide at the gate entrance to the park. For the morning half-day tour, your Yala Safari commences at 6:00 a.m. while the afternoon run begins at 2.30 p.m. After entering the National Park with your guide in a jeep, keep an eye out for leopards and sloth bears, besides other mammals and several species of birds which have made their homes in this sanctuary. The guide will explain about the Park’s various interesting attributes as you discover, become more aware and enjoy the flora and fauna of Yala. You will be taken through most of the Yala National Park, covering the wetlands, grasslands, forest patches, etc. We will make longer stops at certain watering holes for those quiet photography opportunities. Finishing the Safari, either around 11 a.m. or around 6 p.m., you will be dropped at your hotel in Hikkaduwa. .

Your guide will meet you at your hotel in Colombo or Galle and pick you up. Your Four Wheel Jeep will be ready at Yala National and you will be switched to it after a driver from Private Air Conditioned Vehicle. Then, you will proceed to the National Park. The vehicle is open on all sides to provide a panoramic view of the fauna and flora in the National Park. You have the choice of a morning safari at 5:00 am or an afternoon safari at 2:30 pm, and they each last approximately 3 hours. Leopards, Elephants, Sloth Bears, Wild Water Buffaloes, Fishing Cats, Wild Boars, Crocodiles, and a number species of birds are among the many animals that you may see during your visit. During the drive, you can get off at Patanangala where you could get to the beach and at the bank of the Menik River. After being in the Park for around three hours, you will return to your hotel.

This afternoon Game drive to Yala National Park is a 3 hours game viewing opportunity with MICE Team. Yala is home to 44 varieties of mammal and 215 bird species. Among its more famous residents are the world’s biggest concentration of leopards. The leopards are more elusive and primarily nocturnal in other countries but are easier to spot in Sri Lanka than any other place in the world. 14:00 – You will be picked up from your hotel in Yala or Tissamaharama and driven to the National Park. 15:00 – You will start your game drive at Yala National Park. During this 3 hours game drive, you will be able to witness animals like Elephant, Spotted Deer, Sambar, Hanuman Langur, Toque Monkey, Stripe-necked and Ruddy Mongooses, Wild Boar, Golden Jackal, Land and Water Monitor and Marsh Crocodile in addition to the leopard. We provide light refreshments and water bottles during the safari. 18:00 – You will be taken back to your hotel.
