Itinerary

Day 1: Casablanca – Marrakech

Stop At: Hassan II Mosque, Blvd Sidi Mohammed Ben Abdallah, Casablanca 20450 Morocco
Pick up at the airport or at your hotel in Casablanca in the morning. We start with the visit of the spectacular Mosque of Hassan II situated directly at the ocean. A must see for every visitor of Casablanca! Afterwards we take the highway in direction Marrakech.

Stop At: Medina of Marrakesh, Derb Fhal Zefriti n06 Derb Fhal Zefriti, Marrakech 40000 Morocco
You’ll spend the afternoon together with a local city guide in the beautiful red city of Marrakech.

Stop At: Palacio da Bahia, 5 Rue Riad Zitoun el Jdid, Marrakech 40000 Morocco
Visit the famous Palais de Bahia, with its fantastic courtyards and mosaic walls built for Bou Ahmed.

You’ll arrive at the Koutoubia mosque and the Djemaa el Fna-square, where you can drink some fresh pressed orange juice while observing the bustle of the snake charmers, henna tatoo artists and water sellers.

Day 2: Marrakech – High Atlas – Telouet – Ait Ben Haddou – Dades Valley

Pass By: High Atlas Mountains, 40020 Morocco
This memorable day starts with the scenic drive from Marrakech over the Tizi-N-Tichka pass (2’260 m), where you can spot the traditional Berber villages with its inhabitants working and chatting at the roadside. We can stop in a local co-operative run by women who extract the Argan oil from the trees and discover how it is processed into cooking oil and cosmetics. You can taste and buy the products if you like.

Stop At: Telouet Kasbah, Telouet Morocco
We follow a mountain road through colorful landscapes to reach Telouet. This kasbah of Pasha Glaoui is slowly crumbling into the red sand, but still has very impressive rooms from which you can image what the kasbah was like 70 years ago.

Stop At: Ksar of Ait-Ben-Haddou, Douar Ait Ben Haddou, Ait Ben Haddou 45000 Morocco
Shortly before the desert capital Ouarzazate, you have the opportunity to visit the famous Kasbah Aït-Ben-Haddou, the fortified clay city with its numerous ksars and kasbahs, where several famous movies such as Gladiator, Kingdom of Heaven and Prince of Persia have been shot. This photogenic city is also listed as UNESCO World Heritage Site.

After your lunch break in a typical restaurant in Aït-Ben-Haddou or Ouarzazate, you can explore the acient Kasbah of Taourirt, which was built in the Glaoui dynasty.

Continue your journey through the Skoura Valley, where we visit the famous huge Kasbah Amridil and the Valley of Roses.

Finally we’ll reach the Dades Valley, where we have dinner in our Riad and stay overnight.

Day 3: Dades Valley – Todra Gorges – Merzouga Desert

Stop At: Gargantas del Todra, Tinerhir 45800 Morocco
After breakfast, we continue along the road of the Kasbahs to the Todra Gorges. The river Todra has formed these enormous and impressive stone walls over thousands of years. This is a great opportunity to take photos and go for a short walk in the gorges. After lunch along the way it is time for the desert!

Stop At: Merzouga Desert, Merzouga Morocco
Upon arrival in Merzouga, you have time to rest a bit in the lodge where you can put your luggage. Meet your camel driver and head to the desert on top of your friendly camel. After arriving at the Sahara Desert Camp, you can climb the high dunes and enjoy the incredible views while the sun sinks below the horizon. Settle in your private tent and drink some mint tea before the traditional dinner is served. You can spend the night watching for shooting stars or dance around the camp fire to the beat of the desert drums.

Day 4: Merzouga Desert – Rissani – Draa Valley – Tamegroute – Zagora

Stop At: Merzouga Desert, Merzouga Morocco
Wake up by the first strays of light to watch the sunrise over the sahara before you enjoy your typical breakfast. We return on the camel’s back or 4×4 to the desert lodge.

Stop At: Rissani Market, Souk Rissani – Merzouga, Rissani 52450 Morocco
In Rissani we will have the opportunity to visit the local market with the «donkey parking» and have a look at some fossils outside the city.
Duration: 45 minutes

Pass By: Draa Valley, Zagora 45600 Morocco
We’ll drive along the overland route with a lot of panoramic views in direction Zagora. We’ll continue to the green and peaceful Draa Valley which is famous for its huge date groves and henna fields.

Stop At: Tamegroute, Tamegroute, Draa-Tafilalet
Along the way, we stop at a Saadian town of the 16th century which is called «Tamegroute». There, we are able to visit an old coran library and a subterranean Kasbah. The village is also famous for his pottery shops.

Stop At: Zagora, Zagora, Souss-Massa
After your arrival in the desert capitol Zagora, you will have dinner in the Riad where you’ll spend the night.

Day 5: Zagora – Agdz – Anti Atlas – Ouarzazate

Stop At: Zagora, Zagora, Souss-Massa
Today in the morning we enjoy a 1.5 h-Trekking in the Palm groves of the Oasis in the Draa Valley together with a local guide. Walk in the shade of the Palm trees and learn about the life of the local berber communities.
Duration: 2 hours

Stop At: Agdz, Agdz, Souss-Massa
Afterwards, we start the drive in direction Marrakech with a stop in Agdz, where you enjoy a nice panoramic view over the palm tree valley.
Duration: 10 minutes

Pass By: Anti-Atlas Mountains, Morocco
We cross the scenic Anti Atlas mountains with interesting rock formations, where several Hollywood-movies have been shot.

Stop At: Ouarzazate, Ouarzazate, Draa-Tafilalet
Dinner and overnight in a Riad in Ouarzazate.

Day 6: Ouarzazate – High Atlas – Marrakech

Stop At: Atlas Film Studio, Km 5, road of Marrakech BP 28, Ouarzazate 45000 Morocco
Before driving back to Marrakech, you have the oppourtunity to take part of a guided tour in one of the Film Studios of Ouarzazate, where you see requisits of the movies shot in this area and hear stories about the famous Hollywood actors.

After the visit, we pass the High Atlas mountains over the Tizi n’Tichka pass with scenic views along the road and many opportunities to take photos.

Stop At: Jardin Majorelle, Rue Yves Saint Laurent, Marrakech 40090 Morocco
After arrival in Marrakech, you can choose between visiting Jardin Majorelle: this botanical garden is a quiet oasis and the former home of the famous french designer Yves Saint Laurent. Nowadays, the bright blue villa contains a Berber Museum. Or you can enjoy free time in the Souks to do some souvenir shopping.

Stop At: Restaurant Chez Ali, Belaaguid Village Palm Groove Palmeraie, Marrakech 52202 Morocco
For your last evening of the tour, we offer you two different programs:
Enjoy a fantastic dinner while enjoying the Fantasia-Show of „Chez Ali“, or relax in your Riad with a home made dinner after enjoying a traditional Hamam-Spa-Package in the steam bath.
