Day 1: Arrival Casablanca – Rabat
Stop At: Hassan II Mosque, Blvd Sidi Mohammed Ben Abdallah, Casablanca 20450 Morocco

Day 2: Rabat – Chefchaouen

Explore the medieval fortification of the Chellah Necropolis in the heart of Rabat and explore its Roman and Islamic ruins .
The Chellah is both a Roman ruin and Islamic burial place. As the Roman city of Sala Colonia, it was a bustling trading post of the empire’s southernmost colony from A.D. 40 onward, and was one of the last to eventually sever links with the empire.

Known as the “Blue City,” Chefchaouen is made up of narrow, winding streets and blue-washed buildings, enjoy the relaxed atmosphere and friendly locals. Spend your time in the compact medina along the northern hillside and enjoy a meal in Plaza Outa el Hammam, before touring the kasbah (old fortification). As the day draws to an end, make your way to the abandoned Spanish Mosque to enjoy one last view over Chefchaouen as the sun sets behind the mountains.

Day 3: Chefchaouen -Volubilis – Meknes – Fes
Stop At: Volubilis, Morocco
The day dedicated to explore the Roman city of Volubilis. A UNESCO protected site, Volubilis is home to Morocco’s best preserved Roman ruins. Wander the expansive complex, exploring the still-intact columns of former buildings, large merchant homes, temples, and the colorful mosaics, including the Labors of Hercules.

Bab Mansour constructing is said to be related to one popular legend tells the tale of Ismail asking Mansour Laleuj, the architect responsible for the impressive city gate if he could have made the gate more beautiful, to be the grand entrance to the Imperial City of Meknes, Bab Al Mansour Gate was named after El-Mansour, a Christian renegade who converted to Islam. The 16 meters Gate was designed as a horseshoe-arched gate and its 52-foot-high wooden doors are located off the sprawling el-Hedim square.

Stop At: Sahrij Swani, Meknes Morocco
Hri Swani, the Basin of the Norias, Sahrij Swani, is an artificial lake notable for its size (148.75 m by 319 m with a depth of 3.20 m). Three tall crenellated walls that stood around the lake have today been reduced to an isolated section of rampart located on the southwest side towards the Bani Ahmad district and the remains of the base of an enclosure wall more than 2 m thick.
The size of the lake is reminiscent of the lakes of the Middle Atlas mountains located to the south of the town. The lake was filled from two sources:
– Water from the ten wells dug near the Sahrij, below the silo, brought up using ten norias and ceramic channels. Water from the wells was used at times of trouble (war, etc.) and drought.
Water from the Wadi Bufekrane which descends from the Middle Atlas mountains, crosses the southern part of Meknès and feeds the lake and part of the town of Meknès.

Day 4: Explore the City Of Fes
Stop At: Royal Palace of Fez, Avenue Omar Ibnou Khattab, Fes 30004 Morocco
We’ll start the day exploring the oldest city in Morocco, snaking through its alleys and narrow streets. We’ll begin sightseeing at the Royal Palace gate, followed by the Jewish headquarter where the first Mellah ever was built in Morocco, during the 16th century. We’ll ensure that you visit all sites with cultural and historical interest including the famous Al Qaraouine University, the oldest in the region. We’ll also visit the Tanneries, the Attarine museum, and the Moulay Idriss mausoleum. After lunch, you’ll visit many different cooperatives and then, experience a wonderful panoramic view over the whole Medina of Fes.

Stop At: Mosque and University Karaouiyn, Fes, Morocco
Founded in 859 A.D. by Tunisian-born Fatima al-Fihri in Morocco’s Fez, the university is not only the oldest higher education institution on Earth but also the first to be founded by a woman, and a Muslim one at that. Fatima used her inheritance from her merchant father’s wealth to found the university which started as an associated school – known as a madrasa – and a mosque that eventually grew into a place of higher education. It also introduced the system of awarding degrees according to different levels of study in a range of fields, such as religious studies, grammar and rhetoric. Though the university first focused on religious instruction, its fields of study quickly expanded to include logic, medicine, mathematics and astronomy, among many others.

Day 5: Fes – Ifran , Azrou Forest – Into the desert: Erfoud, Merzouga and the Sahara

Ifrane was founded in 1929 and is situated in the Middle Atlas mountains; it includes in its immediate environs Morocco’s premier winter and summer resort areas. Located at an elevation of about 5,400 feet (1,650 metres) above sea level, Nearby cedar-covered extinct volcanic craters are equipped with alpine ski runs. It is also the home of Al-Akhawayn University (1995), a public institution of higher education modeled on the American university system. Azrou, 11 miles (17 km) southwest of Ifrane at an elevation of about 3,950 feet (1,204 metres), is an old Amazigh (Berber) settlement that was developed into an all-seasons resort.

Day 6: Desert towns around Merzouga – Rissani

we will head to west to Tinerhir where you see the view panoramic of Todra Valley and admire the extensive stretch of oasis and the community of buildings that follow the greenery.

This probably would be the perfect definition of the well-known Dades Valley, also known as “the road of the thousand kasbahs”. It ranges from Ouarzazate (located 192 km from Marrakech) to the east of Tineguir and the Todra Gorges.
The area is inhabited by Berber tribes who are responsible for building local houses and castles fortified with adobe or kasbahs. What is more, the Dades Valley is rich in gorges and karstic canyons that form a landscape of eroded rock formations and folds, unique in the world due to the geographical and climatic conditions of Morocco. For example, the erosion of the Dades Gorges is known as the “monkey fingers” because of its rounded and stacked shape that seems to recreate the fingers of this animal

The desert landscape mimetize with desert dust, palm trees and sand, making it a unique place in the world, a true paradise in the middle of the High Atlas Mountains and the Sahara desert.

Day 9: Explore the Red City of Marrakech
Stop At: Palacio da Bahia, 5 Rue Riad Zitoun el Jdid, Marrakech 40000 Morocco
Bahia Palace located in the Mellah, South of historic city. The centerpiece of the Moroccan architecture, it covers 8000 m2, and is the receptacle of the know-how of the craftsmen. Around the central garden, planted with orange, you can admire in the parts confortabe ceilings painted and gilded, wooden marquetry as fine as lace, like stucco, and zelliges bordering the fountains.. They are quite spectacular, full of the colorful ornaments and architectural elements common for the traditional Moroccan architecture. The palace was built from 1984-1900 designed by El Mekki, the Moroccan architect, on behalf of the Grand Vizier Ba Ahmed ben Moussa said Hmad. Only the best workmen and craftsmen of the country were working on this masterpiece of Islamic and Moroccan style. It’s an amazing place for capturing some great photos.

Saadian Tombs Located next to the mosque of the Kasbah, the Saadian tombs are one of the only remains of the Saadian dynasty that reigned over the golden age of Marrakech between 1524 to 1659. In the early 18th century, Sultan Moulay Ismail had indeed decided to remove all traces of the magnificence of this dynasty by demanding the destruction of all remaining vestiges. He dared not, however, commit the sacrilege of destroying their burials and ordered that the entrance to the necropolis should be completed. The secret remained well kept until 1917, date of the rediscovery of the site of the Saadian tombs.

Koutubia Mosque is the largest mosque in Marrakesh with the traditional Minaret tower built in almohad style, that became one of the main landmarks of Marrakesh. And while the mosque itself is not really opened to non-Muslim, you shouldn’t miss checking out the area around. Besides the square in the front of the mosque, there is a nice lush park on a side that is a great place to rest for a bit and people watch.

The Majorelle Garden is a small, peaceful heaven, located in the heart of the city of Marrakesh. This botanical garden was created in 1931 by the French painter Jacques
Majorelle (1886 – 1962) around his Art Deco studio of an astonishing modernity, built by the architect Paul Sinoir.
This garden is a living masterpiece composed of exotic plants and rare species, which Jacques Majorelle, a botanical lover, brings back from his travels around the world: cactus, yuccas, water lilies, water lilies, jasmines, bougainvillea, palm trees, coconut trees, banana trees, bamboo…
In 1937, the artist creates ultramarine both intense and clear blue, the Majorelle blue, of which he dyes his garden that opens to the public in 1947. The workshop became the Berber Museum, which was inaugurated in 2011 under the High Patronage of His Majesty King Mohamed VI. It presents a panorama of the extraordinary creativity of these people, the oldest in North Africa.
