Itinerary
Day 1: Fes – Merzouga
Stop At: Ifrane, Ifrane, Fes-Meknes
Our first stop will be in Ifrane, where the houses have sloping roofs, remarkable and unusual in Morocco, also know as “little Swizerland”. A 15min stop to stretch your legs, drink a cup of coffee.
Duration: 15 minutes
Stop At: Azrou Cedar Forest, Azrou Morocco
Cross the majestic Middle Atlas and stop for a while to observe the Barbary apes in the cedar forests.
Duration: 30 minutes
Stop At: Midelt, Midelt, Meknes-Tafilalet Region
We arrive to Midelt, capital of the apples for lunch. At the afternoon we will drive to Erfoud and into the desert. Dinner and overnight in a hotel at the foothills of Erg Chebbi sahara dunes.
Duration: 1 hour
Stop At: Errachidia, Errachidia, Meknes-Tafilalet Region
After lunch we will descend through the Ziz Valley, remarkable for the extent of its palm trees and the volume of dates produced each year. Notice the many ksars, fortified houses merchants built to protect their wares. Stopping for a panoramic view of the oasis of Aoufous in the Tafilalte region.

Stop At: Erfoud, Erfoud, Meknes-Tafilalet Region
Arrive to Erfoud, famous for its date festival and fossils. It is fascinating to see how these millions of fossils have been worked into artifacts and so the shops are worth a visit.

Stop At: Merzouga, Merzouga, Draa-Tafilalet
Once you arrive to Merzouga, a small off-road takes you to the edge of the golden dunes where camels are waiting for you, the luggage will be loaded in an 4×4 car and transported to the camp, and you can enjoy a beautiful camel ride over the sand dunes and watch a majestic desert sunset on your way to the camp.

Day 2: Merzouga – Dades Valley
Stop At: Rissani, Rissani, Meknes-Tafilalet Region
Back on the asphalt roads, continue west to pass through a dramatic gate into Rissani. A market town, Rissani holds a livestock auction and is home to a “donkey parking lot”, a site worth experiencing.

Stop At: Todgha Gorge, R 703 near the town of Tinerhir, Tinerhir 45520 Morocco
We leave for e Todgha Gorges. On the way, you pass the water channels – “khettarat” – which you can descend into to appreciate the architecture and genius behind this form of irrigation which prevents evaporation in the summer heat. Continue to the Todra Gorges which is an ideal place for walking and exploring.

Stop At: Boumalne Dades, Boumalne Dades, Souss-Massa
Leave Tinghir behind and take the route to the scenic and to one of the most picturesque valleys in Morocco, Dades Valley. Several stops to admire the views and to take pictures.

Stop At: Dades Gorges, R704 Atlas Mountains, Boumalne Dades 45350 Morocco
Beautiful old Kasbahs and spectacular red-colored canyons, formed by the Dades River are waiting for you to explore! There are plenty thinks to see inside the Dades Valley: Including the breathtaking Dades Gorge, the spectacular winding road and the monkey fingers. Before you check into your Hotel for the night.

Day 3: Dades Gorges – Marrakech
Stop At: Roses Valley, El Kelaa M’gouna N10, El Kelaa M’gouna 45800 Morocco
We will follow the Dades Valley to arrive to Kelaa M’Gouna known for its Festival of Roses, here you can see extensively cultivated farmland bordered with fragrant rose bushes.

Pass By: Skoura, Skoura, Beni Mellal-Khenifra
We continue through the Road of a Thousand-Kasbahs passing the Skoura palm grove until we arrive to Ouarzazate named “Hollywood of Morocco”.
Stop At: Ouarzazate 45000, Morocco
Possibility to visit Taourirt Kasbah or join a studio tour and discover how the nearby desert landscapes have been featured in many films, have lunch in one of the local restaurants.

Stop At: Ait Ben Haddou, Ait Ben Haddou, Souss-Massa
After lunch in Ouarzazate we will continue to Ait Ben Haddou, a ‘fortified city’, situated along the former caravan route between the Sahara and Marrakech. It is situated on a hill along the ounila valley River and boasts some beautiful examples of kasbahs, some of which remain inhabited.

Pass By: Marrakech, Marrakech, Marrakech-Safi
At the end of the afternoon, we will head north to Marrakech over the Tizi n Tichka Pass 2260m , with several stops on the way to admire the panoramic views of the High Atlas. Drop off at your accommodation in Marrakech
