The Bab Abi al-Jounoud or Bab Bou Jeloud is an ornate city gate in Fes el Bali, the old city of Fez, Morocco. The current gate dates was built by the French colonial administration in 1913 to serve as the grand entrance to the old city.

The Madrasa Bou Inania is a madrasa in Fes, Morocco, founded in AD 1350–56 by Abu Inan Faris. It is widely acknowledged as a high point of Marinid architecture and of historic Moroccan architecture generally.

Easily reached from just inside Bab Bou Jeloud, this market stretches along Talaa Kebira, with produce on the west end (near the medina wall) and meats and spices to the east. The Mausoleum Moulay Idris, made him the patron saint of the city of Fez and his shrine is one of the holiest in Morocco pilgrimage site. Especially during an important festival used to be held every year in the second week of August open only to Muslims and non-Muslims may not enter the mausoleum but can get a view from above up the hill. It’s believed locally that five pilgrimages to Moulay Idriss during the moussem equals one hajj to Mecca.
