Our adventure kicks off in Fes, as we travel through Ifrane—a winter ski resort crafted by the French in the 1930s, designed to mimic a Swiss village.

Keep going through the forest in Azrou where you’ll spot monkeys, then drive over the Middle Atlas Mountains. Spend the day winding through pretty forests, springs, rocky areas, and Berber villages as you cross the Atlas Mountains and start heading down to the Sahara Desert.

Midway through, we’ll pause for lunch in the town of Midelt, known for its fossils and rocks. Afterward, we’ll continue on the road to Merzouga.

Pause to take in a wide view of a vast oasis filled with palm trees before reaching Merzouga in the afternoon. Following a refreshing mint tea break, your guide and camels await to guide you through the sandy dunes of Erg Chebbi. Revel in the sunset’s beauty atop a camel, and after an hour, arrive at the desert camp for a night in a Berber tent. At the camp, your camels are secured, and mint tea is served. Cap off your day with a delightful dinner and stargazing until you drift into sleep.

Commence the second day of our Fes to Merzouga 2 Days with an early camel trek, immersing yourself in the stunning high golden dunes and witnessing a breathtaking sunrise. Marvel at the wide expanse of the Sahara and the captivating camel chain, evoking a majestic Lawrence of Arabia feeling. Return to our luxurious hotel in Merzouga for a refreshing Sahara breakfast and some relaxation. Journey to Rissani, the Sahara’s old market center, exploring its vibrant souk and the mausoleums of Moulay Ali Cherif and Saad el Hassan el Awal. Continue to Erfoud, known for palm dates and fossils, discovering captivating old rocks and local life insights. Conclude the day with a drive through the scenic Middle Atlas Mountains, stopping in a Berber village for a delightful local lunch before reaching your hotel in Fes.
