Itinerary

Day 1: Marrakech

Pass By: Medina of Marrakesh, Derb Fhal Zefriti n06 Derb Fhal Zefriti, Marrakech 40000 Morocco
Your chauffeur will meet you at Marrakech Menara airport and take you to your riad in the medina. Welcome reception with “The à la Menthe” which is also called as “Whiskey Berbere”. The rest of the day you have time to make your own explorations.

Day 2: Marrakech sightseeing

Stop At: Palacio da Bahia, 5 Rue Riad Zitoun el Jdid, Marrakech 40000 Morocco
After a leisurely breakfast, you will be picked up at 8.30 am in front of your riad.
On a guided walk through the historic Kasbah, visit the Mausoleum of the Saadiens, the most magnificent gate of Marrakesh, the 12th-century Bab Agnau and the Bahia Palace. A palace of a former Grand Vizier with beautiful decorations (all admission optional), the exterior of the Koutoubia Mosque. Djemaa El Fnaa which is also called the Place of Jugglers, as well as some of the famous souks

Day 3: Casablanka – Rabat (355 km)

Stop At: Hassan II Mosque, Blvd Sidi Mohammed Ben Abdallah, Casablanca 20450 Morocco
Casablanca is the most important industrial and commercial center and with 3 million inhabitants the largest city in Morocco and a modern metropolis. After the city tour you will visit the Grande Mosquèe Hassan II. The square giant minaret rises 200 meters in height, making it the highest sacred building in the world. A guided tour of the mosque is possible from Saturday to Thursday also non-Muslims (admission optional).
Visit to “Ricks Cafe”, which was modeled on the world-famous classic “Casablanca”.
Continue to the capital Rabat. With a local guide you will visit the Oudaya Kasbah with its imposing city wall, one of the most important buildings of the Almahad period. The mausoleum of King Mohamed V with the imposing Hassan tower and the gardens of the Royal Palace (all admission optional). Overnight in a beautiful middle class riad.

Day 4: Meknes – Volubilis – Fez (320 km)

Stop At: Meknes Medina, Meknes Morocco
Today’s stage leads to Meknes. The royal city is known for its 40 km long city wall with magnificent city gates. You explore the sights of the medina. Then we drive to the Roman ruined city of Volubilis, the oldest city in Morocco today, where you can make an interesting visit. Continue to the most famous pilgrimage site of the Maghreb, Mulay Idriss. Then we drive to Fes, the oldest royal city. You stay here twice in a riad.

Day 5: Fes

Pass By: Medina of Fez, Fes 30000 Morocco
Today you will go sightseeing with the local guide. Fes is a World Heritage Site and is under the protection of UNESCO. The Bab Boujeloud will take you to the best preserved medina in Morocco and visit the tombs of Mulay Idriss, Kairouine Mosque, Bou Inania and a 9th-century college. Your driver will take you to the mountain of the south, where you will have an indescribable view over the city. In the colorful souks and artisan lanes you will see tailors, potters, coppersmiths and other crafts.

Day 6: Ifrane – Midelt (260 km)

Stop At: Ifrane National Park, Ifrane Morocco
After breakfast we leave Fez and head towards Ifrane, Ifran with its European touch is also called Switzerland of Morocco. In the Ifrane National Park you can observe Barbary apes that inhabit the Atlas Cedar forest. However, caution is advised, it should have disappeared so many treats from pockets. The central atlas with its cedar forests is a very scenic area. You make a tour of the town of Ifrane and maybe there is still time left for a visit to the cafe.
Midelt is considered the geographical center of Morocco. Here is a walk through the mining town planned. The sale of minerals has become an important source of additional income for the Berbers. Stay here today.

Day 7: Errachidia – Merzouga (285 km)

Stop At: Erg Chebbi Dunes, Morocco
After a relaxed breakfast we leave Midelt and drive towards Merzouga. It’s a break at the lake, “Al-Hassan Addakhil”. planned and you enjoy the impressive panorama during a walk. Lunch break in Errachidia. We follow the road through Gorges du Ziz, a steep-walled ravine with date palms and oases. Then you will see the first sand dunes and beautiful oases. We reach Merzouga, the small oasis on the edge of Erg Chebbi. The largest dune area of Morocco with green palm groves and surrounded by reddish golden sand dunes, the Erg Chebbi. With dromedaries you ride through the sand dunes in the sunset. Enjoy the vast expanse of dunes and the canopy of thousands of stars playing drum music around the campfire. They spend the night in the desert camp in the nomad tent.

Day 8: Tinghir – Boumalne (300 km)

Stop At: TINGHIR, Avenue Kassem Zahiri, Tinghir 45800, Morocco
Early risers experience a magical sunrise in the desert. After having breakfast in the morning sun, ride back through the sand dunes. A beautiful panoramic drive through Berber villages and oases will take you to Tinghir, where the Todra Gorge begins. A narrow gorge with up to 500 m steep rocks, a guarantee for extraordinary photos. Near Boulmane Dades we follow the steep hairpin turns that meander through the steep ravine. The Dades River rises in the High Atlas and winds down to the impressive Dades Gorge. We stay in a romantic riad.

Day 9: El Kelâa M’Gouna – Quarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou (260 km)

Stop At: Ksar of Ait-Ben-Haddou, Douar Ait Ben Haddou, Ait Ben Haddou 45000 Morocco
The journey continues on the famous road of the 1000 Kasbahs in the Valley of the Roses, El-Kelaa M’Gouna. In Skoura we make a stop to visit the Kasbah Amridil.
We reach Quarzazate, which is also called Hollywood of Morocco. Quarzazate is circled by the High Atlas in the north, by the Sahara in the south and the reservoir El Mansour Eddahbi in the east. Numerous international films such as Cleopatra, Lawrence of Arabia, Gladiator, The Medicus, Game of Thrones and many more were shot here. It is possible to visit one of the famous film studios, as well as the Kasbah Taourirt and the Museum of Cinema. Ait Ben Haddou UNESCO World Heritage Site, the grandest Kasbah of Morocco. You will make a guided tour of this impressive fortress.

Day 10: Ounila Valley – Marrakech (210 km)

Stop At: Kasbah du Pacha el Glaoui, Proche Telouet, Telouet 45252 Morocco
The drive through the Ounila Valley is a magnificent stretch and before we make our way to Marrakech, you have the opportunity to visit the UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Kasbah Telouet. The historic residence of the Glaoui is one of the highlights of a tour of the High Atlas. From now on we will set off on one of the most scenic routes in Morocco. Over the Tizi Tichka Pass (2260m pass) we cross the High Atlas. In the evening we reach Marrakech.
