After departing from the Marrakech, we will head to the Atlas Mountains. Our first stop will be Ourika Valleys and Argan Oil Cooperative.
Traveling deeper into the breathtaking range and taking in the snow-capped peaks, we will reach the Ourika Valley after about an hour.
It is located on the Moroccan High Atlas along the Ourika River. You can enjoy the stunning sceneries, walnut trees, wiping willow, and poplar trees, high mountains, and rocks, which range in color from red to green. Then we will hike for about 1 hour 30 minutes to the amazing waterfalls.
After enjoying the tumbling waters and beautiful landscapes, we will drive towards Oukaimeden valley to have lunch with a hospitable local Berber family. People in Berber families are very welcoming to their guests. Their lunch often includes soup, salad, and tagine with couscous, along with drinks and delectable desserts.
Along our way, you will see the highest peak in North Africa “Mount Toubkal” (13,665 feet high).
We will stop there so that you can take your pictures with its mesmerizing view.
The 4th valley we will visit is “Asni” which is located in the lap of high mountains and is famous for its fruit trees. You will find here various fruit trees such as walnut, peach, apple, and almond groves.
We will end our tour passing by the Tahanaout (5th valley). The charming villages of Tahanaout, framed by the High Atlas Mountains will captivate you with their nature, architecture, and rich history. You can see the red clay structures, created utilizing traditional Berber methods, amid an area populated with olive orchards, and lemon and orange trees.
