Palace in Marrakech
The Bahia Palace was built in 1894 by Si Moussa, the Grand Vizier of Sultan Moulay Hassan I. It was intended to be a luxurious residence for the Grand Vizier and his family. The palace was designed by French architect Paul Sinoir and was inspired by traditional Moroccan architecture. Its construction took several years and required more than 3,000 workers to complete the project.

The palace is made up of four main courtyards, each with its own unique style and design. The first courtyard is the most ornate, with intricate mosaics, carved stucco walls, and colorful tiles. The second courtyard is more open and airy, with a large swimming pool in the center. The third courtyard is filled with lush gardens and fountains, while the fourth courtyard houses the palace’s private residences.

The Secret Garden opens to the public for the first time in its history. The origins of the complex date back to the time of the Saadian dynasty, more than four hundred years ago.

Rebuilt in the mid-19th century by an influential Atlas kingpin, Le Jardin Secret was the home of some of the highest political figures in Morocco and Marrakech.
The Secret Garden, which can now be fully appreciated thanks to its recent restoration, is part of the great tradition of Arab-Andalusian and Moroccan palaces. The visitor can thus discover the gardens and buildings that compose it and which constitute exceptional testimonies of Islamic art and architecture.

The Ben Youssef Madrasa is a Madrasa, a Koranic school. A jewel of Saadian architecture, it is located in Marrakech, Morocco. It was enlarged and redecorated by Abdallah el-Ghalib, Saadian sultan, in 1564-65. The name Ben Youssef comes from that of the Almoravid sultan Ali Ben Youssef.

The Marrakech medina is a Moroccan medina, the historic heart of Marrakech. It forms one of the five districts that make up the urban commune of Marrakech.

The Koutoubia Mosque is a religious building built in the 12th century in Marrakech, Morocco. It is the largest mosque in the city. Its architecture and ascetic decor reflect the art of the Almohads. A first mosque was built in 1148 by the Almohad Sultan Abdelmoumen after conquering Marrakech.

Bab Agnaou is one of nineteen Babs in Marrakech, Morocco. It was built in the 12th century, at the time of the Almohad dynasty. Bab Agnou is the entrance to the royal kasbah in the southern part of the medina of Marrakech.
