Marrakech Trip Overview
Essaouira is a charming old coastal city. To reach it, we cross the beautiful scenery of the R207 road to the coast. On the way, we will stop to see the argan trees where the goats climb on the low branches and feed, it is a fascinating spectacle and an absolute must when it comes to be photographed. Along the way, we will stop at a women’s cooperative where they produce argan oil. Our trip to Essaouira arrives in the resort and the port city where you will see the vast expanse of the North Atlantic Ocean. Old brass cannons line and the ramparts protect the waterfront against ancient invasions. There are several modern restaurants in the port city and this updated culture combines very well with the history of the city. You’ll feel like you’re drifting in a time machine as you move from a modern cafe to a dilapidated house in the medina a few feet away. Essaouira is a popular stopover point for most tourists visiting Morocco and you will see just why when you visit it.
