Stop At: Dar El Bacha – Musee des Confluences, 65, 69 Riad Laarous, route Dar El Bacha, Marrakech 40000 Morocco

Architecture lovers will be delighted by the opportunity to visit Dar el Bacha- museum of confluences, or around an Arabian garden articulated pieces with columns covered with Zelliges and chiselled stucco. Rigorous geometry of star-studded polygons, friezes with diamond-shaped or “lion’s claw” florets, columns with sculpted capitals and painted with natural pigments (poppy, indigo or saffron), these are the architectural elements of the Palais Dar el Bacha Marrakech.

The rest of the decoration is breathtaking: hand-crafted cedar doors, ceilings of different shapes and colors, exposed beams and joists or coffered with geometric and floral motifs.

Stop At: Jardin Majorelle, Rue Yves Saint Laurent, Marrakech 40090 Morocco

One of the most visited places of Marrakech, in the Gueliz district, the Majorelle House and its gardens, is a place filled with magic, magic shapes, colors, different plant species, we find the soul of Jacques Majorelle, who settled in Marrakech attracted by his colorful life and animation.

He will appeal to the architect Paul Sinoir for the cubist design of the villa, and his many trips to the four corners of Africa, he brought back the most astonishing plants: palm trees, bamboo, coconut palms, cedars, willows, carob trees, jasmine …

The artist begins to create a painting, he composes his garden as he would paint a canvas, all in harmony.

“It’s not just a garden,” murmurs the artist, it’s “a cathedral of shapes and colors, it’s an impressionist garden.”

In the garden is the villa-studio of the painter Jacques Majorelle. There are also collections of Islamic Art offered by Yves St Laurent and Pierre bergé

Stop At: Jemaa el-Fnaa, 38 Jemaa el-Fna, Rue El Ksour, Marrakech Morocco

Destination of all enchantment, Jamaâ El Fna Square tells through its storytellers, dancers, water sellers and snake charmers, the history of Morocco yesterday and today while subjugating its visitors by its charm that starts in the morning and still only reaches its peak in the evening. Another symbol of the ocher city, religious, the minaret of Koutoubia closely adjoining the square, medieval Moroccan chronicles written between the XIth and the XIVth century refer to a Rahba al-Ksar, an esplanade of the palace located in the vicinity of Koutoubia. It would have publicly inflicted exemplary punishment from the twelfth century.
