This trip is the unique opportunity to take a break, to enjoy the grandiose landscapes offered by southern Morocco but also to experience the desert by sleeping in comfortable tents at the foot of the large dunes of Chegaga.
Itinerary
Day 1: Marrakech – Ait ben Haddou – Ouarzazate region
Stop At: Ait Ben Haddou, Ait Ben Haddou, Souss-Massa
Departure in the morning between 7:30 am and 9 am from Marrakech to cross the High Atlas mountains. On the way to the south, after the Tichka pass, you will arrive at Ait Ben Haddou, a famous Kasbah classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, which you can visit during a stop time with free lunch (not included in the price). You can then enjoy visiting the Ouarzazate film studios, stroll in an oasis or relax in your hotel with swimming pool.

Day 2: Ouarzazate – Drâa Valley – Chegaga
Stop At: Tamegroute, Valle du Daraa, Zagora Morocco
After breakfast, we take the road towards your bivouac in Chegaga. The Drâa valley will offer you magnificent landscapes on the road (palm groves, kasbahs …). Soon arrived at the gates of the Zagora desert, we will stop at Tamgroute, a famous potters’ village (visit of the kilns and workshops). Free lunch on the road (not included).
Finally, we will start the track towards the big dunes of Erg Chegaga (300m) located about 70 km from Tagounite. This track crosses the different characteristic landscapes of the desert, erg, reg, hammada, oasis and you will surely have the opportunity to see its inhabitants (gazelles, dromedaries, fennec, etc.). This part of the desert is still preserved and in the wild to offer you a unique and authentic experience. Dinner and one night in our Nomademoi bivouac in a comfortable tent (double or family with shared sanitary facilities).

Day 3: Day in Chegaga
Stop At: Erg Chigaga، Morocco
After the traditional breakfast, you will appreciate the grandiose setting of your bivouac at the foot of the great dunes Erg Chegaga.
Lunch will be taken with nomads and you will take the opportunity to discover a way of life still existing in the Moroccan Sahara (baking bread in the sand, herd of goats).
End of the day in the desert, walk at sunset on the back of a camel.
Dinner and evening at the bivouac.

Day 4: Day in Chegaga
Stop At: Atmospher Erg Chigaga, M’Hamid El Ghizlane, M’Hamid Morocco
After breakfast, we take you for a picnic at the oasis, a relaxing afternoon in this timeless setting.
End of the day in the desert.
Dinner and traditional evening at the camp in your tent.

Day 5: Chegaga – Marrakech
Stop At: Tazenakht, Tazenakht, Souss-Massa
Breakfast at the camp, then return to Marrakech via Foum Zguid and Tazenakht (known for its handmade rugs). Free lunch on the road. Arrival in Marrakech at the end of the day, your head filled with images of this exotic stay!
