Itinerary

Day 1: Marrakech – Ait Benhaddou – Ouarzazate – Rose Valley – Dades Gorges

Stop At: Tizi n Tichka, Imlil Village, Ouarzazate 45000 Morocco
The Tizi n’Tichka pass is a sensational route. After leaving the city of Marrakech behind, we head south over the Tizi n’Tichka Pass (2260m) while enjoying superb views of the mountains and of the Berber Villages on the way.
Duration: 30 minutes

Stop At: Ksar of Ait-Ben-Haddou, Douar Ait Ben Haddou, Ait Ben Haddou 45000 Morocco
We’ll get to the oldest and famous Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou – a Unesco World Heritage Site used as a backdrop for more than 20 films (Gladiator, Lawrence of Arabia, Game of Thrones, etc.). We will have lunch in town, then visit the old mud village.
Duration: 2 hours

Pass By: Valley of the Roses, Dades Valley near Bouteghrar, El Kelaa M’gouna 43000 Morocco
We continue through Ouarzazate, which is the gateway to southern Morocco, and continue towards the Skoura oasis, which is a fertile area lined with immense palm groves. Following on from Skoura we arrive at the Valley of Roses.
Roses are a very important crop booster to the local population. The rose season, begins around 10 April and ends around 20 May, depending on climate conditions. The Rose Festival or Moussem of Roses takes place on the second weekend in May and lasts for two days.

Stop At: Dades Gorges, R704 Atlas Mountains, Boumalne Dades 45350 Morocco
We drive all along the road of thousand kasbahs before arriving at Dades, overnight in a hotel overlooking the Valley.
Duration: 15 hours

Day 2: Dades Gorges – Todra Gorges – Erfoud – Merzouga – Sahara Desert

Stop At: Todgha Gorge, R 703 near the town of Tinerhir, Tinerhir 45520 Morocco
Today after breakfast we set off to Todgha Valley: a green fertile one surrounded by old mud villages. We drive around 15 km to get to Todgha gorges, a canyon rising to 300m in a valley dotted with palm trees and Berber Villages.
Duration: 1 hour

Stop At: Merzouga, Merzouga, Draa-Tafilalet
We head to the Sahara desert passing by an old underground irrigation system ( Khettarat ). Continue south, we reach the Sahara desert where your camels are waiting to offer you a ride crossing the golden dunes. Your camel guide will stop for you to see a magnificent sunset on the top of a high dune, continue to the camp (tents like nomads use). After the rest, enjoy a delicious dinner and listen and dance to the Berber music played by nomads around a fire and under a starry sky.

Day 3: Sahara Desert – Ziz Valley – Midelt – Cedar Forest- Ifrane – Fes

Stop At: Merzouga Desert, Merzouga Morocco
Early wake up to see one of the best sunrises in your life on the top of a dune. Admire the sunrise and ride the camel to the camp lodge to enjoy an early breakfast.
Duration: 1 hour

Stop At: Rissani, Rissani, Meknes-Tafilalet Region
We head to Rissani where we visit the traditional Berber suq and the ruined Kasbah of Sijilmassa.
Duration: 1 hour

Stop At: Midelt, Midelt, Meknes-Tafilalet Region
Leaving Rissani we travel through the Ziz Valley and Errachidia. We will stop Midelt for lunch.
Duration: 1 hour

Stop At: Azrou, Azrou, Meknes-Tafilalet Region
Discover Morocco’s Middle Atlas Mountains, small towns, and a rolling landscape of cedar forests and peaks. Visit the Berber market town of Azrou where the monkeys thrive in nearby groves of cedar trees.
Duration: 1 hour

Stop At: Fes, Fes, Fes-Meknes
We proceed through Ifrane to arrive in the evening to Fes where the tour ends. We will drop you off at your accommodation.
Duration: 1 hour
