Itinerary

Day 1: Marrakech – Aït Benhaddou – Ouarzazate – The Dadès Valley

Pass By: Dades Gorges, R704 Atlas Mountains, Boumalne Dades 45350 Morocco
The first day we leave Marrakech behind to take the road to Ouarzazate. On the way we cross the impressive Atlas Mountains, crossing the impressive mountain pass Tizi n’Tichka, 2,260 meters high.

At the midpoint of the trip we will arrive at Aït Benhaddou Kasbah, a fortified city that has served as a filming location for films like Gladiator and Kingdom of Heaven. You will have approximately two and a half hours here to explore this spectacular deserted city and have lunch.

Then, the route continues to Ouarzazate, where you will have approximately half an hour to admire and take photos of the impressive Kasbah Taourirt.

Taking “The path of a thousand Kasbahs” towards Skoura, we will cross the Valley of the Roses to finally reach the Dades Valley, where we will spend the night. Sometimes, we will stay in Skoura.

Day 2: Dadès Valley – Todgha Gorges – Merzouga

Pass By: Merzouga, Merzouga, Draa-Tafilalet
After breakfast we head towards the Dades Valley, crossing the incredible Todgha Gorges along the way where we will stay for a while to enjoy the breathtaking scenery. Next, we move towards Merzouga, passing through the palm grove of Jorf (which produces the best dates) and stopping for lunch before reaching Erfoud, a town famous for its fossil fragments.

Upon reaching Merzouga, we will change our motor vehicles for camels to dive into the desert, and we will look for the Bedouin camp where we will spend the night.

Here, with the soundtrack of the silence of the desert, we will enjoy one of the most authentic dinners in all of Morocco.

Day 3: Merzouga – Rissani – Alnif -Tizi n’Tichka – Ouarzazate – Marrakech

Pass By: Marrakech, Marrakech, Marrakech-Safi
If there is an unmissable sight in the desert it is dawn. After enjoying this quiet moment, the tour returns to your camels, to make a hotel where we can take a shower and have breakfast (depending on the type of camp, breakfast and shower can be before the camel ride).

Passing through the palm grove of Tafilalet and the town of Rissani (where the Alawite dynasty of Morocco comes from), the tour continues through the acacia covered plateaus and reaches Alnif, where we take the road that crosses the Anti Atlas mountain range. Through the remarkable mountain passages of Tizi n’Tichka we will reach Tinghir, (an important Berber village), and finally the Dades Valley.

Upon arriving at Kalaat M’Gouna around noon, we will stop for lunch and rest well, before completing our trip back to Marrakech through Ouarzazate, leaving you at your hotel around 8:30 p.m.
