Itinerary

Day 1: Marrakech – Casablanca – Rabat

Pass By: Rabat, Rabat, Rabat-Sale-Kenitra
Leave Marrakech in a Toyota Landcruiser or a luxury minibus and head to Casablanca, the economic and business center of Morocco. Upon arrival, you will visit the impressive Hassan II Mosque, the largest sanctuary in the country. Continue the excursion to Rabat, capital of Morocco. Here, discover Méchouar, the walls surrounding the Royal Palace, followed by the Kasbah of the Udayas and the magnificent Mausoleum of Mohammed V. Then they will take you to your hotel in Rabat.

Day 2: Rabat – Meknes – Fez

Pass By: Fes, Fes, Fes-Meknes
After breakfast, return to the car and relax while driving to Meknes, one of the most important imperial cities in Morocco. This city houses luxury palaces and beautiful mosques, as well as one of the most famous souks. You will then be taken to the Roman Ruins of Volubilis. Founded in the third century BC. C., Volubilis was an important settlement of the Roman Empire. At night, you will go to Fez, where you will spend the night.

Day 3: Fez

Pass By: Fes, Fes, Fes-Meknes
On the third day, you will spend the whole day exploring the fascinating city of Fez accompanied by an English-speaking professional guide. This is the oldest imperial city in Morocco, established in the 8th century by Idris II of Morocco. You will also have the opportunity to discover the city at night, as you will spend your third night here.

Day 4:  Fes – Arzou – Midelt – Erfoud – Merzouga

Pass By: Merzouga, Merzouga, Draa-Tafilalet
Get on the road early and bright and head south. The first stop of the day will be Ifrane, the “Little Switzerland” of Morocco. Then, while driving through the cedar forests of Arzou, make sure you stay tuned for the Berber apes, who live in these trees. Cross the Ziz Valley and its dramatic gorges, visiting the towns of Midelt and Erfoud. From Erfoud, take a dirt road to the desert until you reach the small town of Merzouga, in the southeast of Morocco. You will spend the night in a hotel on the edge of the sand dunes.

Day 5: Merzouga – Erg Chebbi

Pass By: Merzouga, Merzouga, Draa-Tafilalet
Explore the desert for a whole day. Tour the endless dune fields in your 4×4, visit the nomadic settlements, marvel at several oases and admire the dunes of Erg Chebbi, which extend 50 kilometers from north to south. Sitting in the dunes is the charming village of Khamlia, famous for the Gnawa music group that you will also visit. As the sun sets, get on a camel and enjoy a light bumpy ride to the Berber desert camp, where you will have a traditional meal and spend the night.

Day 6: Merzouga – Todgha and Dades Gorges

Pass By: Dades Gorges, R704 Atlas Mountains, Boumalne Dades 45350 Morocco
After getting up early to witness an unforgettable sunrise, your camel will take you back to your hotel, where you will have breakfast and a refreshing shower (depending on the type of camp, your breakfast and shower may be before the camel ride). On day 6 you will visit the Todgha Gorges, one of the most spectacular canyons in the world. The day trip comes to an end in the Dades Valley.

Day 7: Gorges of Dadès – Skoura – Ouarzazate

Pass By: Ouarzazate, Ouarzazate, Draa-Tafilalet
After breakfast, we will go to the Gorge of Dadès before taking the Route of the Thousand Kasbahs through the Valley of the Roses, where you will have time to explore the area at your own pace. The next stop will be at the palm grove of Skoura, home of the Kasbah Amridil. Then you will go to Ouarzazate, where you will visit Taourirt Kasbah and spend the night.

Day 8: Ouarzazate – Aït Benhaddou – Marrakech

Pass By: Marrakech, Marrakech, Marrakech-Safi
On the last day, you will marvel at the Ksar of Ait Ben-Haddou, a magnificent example of land buildings surrounded by a defensive wall, typical of southern Morocco. Get in your car during the last part of the trip. Cross the Atlas Mountains through the Tizi n’Tichka mountain pass, 2,260 meters high. Your 8-day trip will come to an end in Marrakech.
