Ouirgane Trip Overview

Hiking through the wild national park of Toubkal with a fabulous panoramic views of the valley through the hills of red soil rich of clay and iron.

Crossing the native forest of junipers and aromatic flowers,then some small terraces gardens of isolated hamlets with its old traditional irrigation system managed by a very deep customs.

After couple of hours hiking,heading down to river through the olive trees, figs, pomegranate, almonds, walnuts and apples…, then get to arrive to the entrance old door of the village of Anraz, here the guests will be served a traditional organic Berber meal.

After lunch you will visit the old age stone oil pressing still using for grinding around a donkey or a mule, then visit an old formerly Jewish synagogue located not far from the village.

After the visit,walking through scattered fields of maize, barely, seasonal flowers and vegetables…, and get to may see a delightful Berber women setting on their hunches for chat after gathering firewood and hay which may still carry on their backs, the girls are singing as they fetch water, men and boys work the irrigation system and plow.

Leaving the fields, enjoying the view of the Ouirgane lake. The time now is getting to be mid afternoon, and view implies to complete the last scene of the trek, the guide will take you to the hotel or the car if you are going back to Marrakech.
