Itinerary

Day 1: Marrakech – Ait Ben Haddou – Ouarzazate – Skoura – Vallée Des Roses – Dades Gorges.

Stop At: Marrakech, Marrakech, Marrakech-Safi
In the morning, departure from your hotel / riad in Marrakech, at 8 am and direction through the High Atlas mountains. Panoramic views there will be opportunities to stop and take pictures. Continue through the Oumila valley and drive along the magnificent road to reach the Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou, classified as World Heritage by UNISCO and the seat of the powerful Glaoui tribe. Here you will stop for lunch. Arrival in Ouarzazate then visit of the film studios and the kasbah of Taourirte the residence of the Pasha of Marrakech is a symbol of the time of the lords of the Atlas. Then the day continues to the Dades gorges via the skoura oasis and the valley of roses, visit the gorges. Night in a Hotel or a Kasbah in the gorges.

Day 2: Dades Gorges – Todra Gorges – Tinjdad – Erfoud – Merzouga

Stop At: Dades Gorges, R704 Atlas Mountains, Boumalne Dades 45350 Morocco
In the morning, departure for the Toudra gorges, after visiting the gorges, we head towards Merzouga via the village of Tinjdad. Stop for lunch and continue through the village of Erfoud and Rissani. In the afternoon you can take a two hour camel ride in the Sahara. You can enjoy the sunset on the backs of the camels at the top of the dunes is spectacular (250m) from Erg Chebbi arriving at your bivouac Berber camp / tent, dinner and overnight with a show at the foot of the dunes in the nomad tent.

Day 3: Day guided tour of Merzouga.

Stop At: Merzouga, Merzouga, Draa-Tafilalet
After breakfast at the Hotel, you can start exploring the region. You will visit the Gnawa people, the origin of slaves brought from Sudan, to discover their music and their lifestyle, while not far from there is Lake Merzouga with its populations of birds. You can also visit the nomadic thread house where many Berber handicrafts are cheaper than in the big cities. In the afternoon, it’s time for your camel trek, guided by an experienced camel man you set off to explore the sandy sea of Merzouga. Dinner is in front of the tent where you will spend the night (the camp equipped with flash-WC and shower).

Day 4: Merzouga – Alnif – Tazarine – Nqob – Zagora.

Stop At: Merzouga, Merzouga, Draa-Tafilalet
If you wake up early enough, you can watch the spectacle of the sunrise, when the color of the dunes and the play of shadows are an impressive spectacle. The route continues in the Draa Valley through the village or Tazzarine (described in the film “Babel”), the beautiful photos of the landscapes of the little atlas did not miss. Stop for lunch in a panoramic restaurant at N’Qob. In the afternoon the trip takes us to Tanasikht, continue along the route of the old caravans and discover the real Draa valley with its huge palm trees and ancient villages. At the end of the afternoon, we stop in Zagora for the night in a kasbah. Camel ride (1 hour / 1 hour and a half) to watch the sunset over the dunes. An unforgettable evening of traditional Sahara songs.

Day 5: Zagora – Agdez – Ouarzazate – Marrakech

Stop At: Zagora, Zagora, Souss-Massa
After a hearty breakfast in your accommodation, we head to the village of Agdez, visit the Kasbah Tamnougalte before returning to Ouarzazate via the Tizi-n-Tinfifte pass (1660m). Once in Ouarzazate, we cross an unpaved track to the Fint Oasis nestled between the mountains, a pearl that offers hidden pleasure. Returning to Marrakech, through the village of Merzgane and Ighrem, we cross the Tizi-n-Tichka pass to reach Marrakech at the end of the afternoon.
