Stop At: Plage de Asilah, Morocco
We arrived with the car by the beach of Assilah that during the good weather is crowded with local and foreign bathers.
Stop At: Asilah Medina, Rue Attijara, Asilah Morocco
A unique Portuguese fortification protects the charming medina of Asilah. It is delicious to walk quietly in the silence of its narrow and whitewashed streets. Each corner and each door are a postcard. If it is accessible, it arrives at the viewpoint of the wall that goes into the sea, to relax the look on the profile of houses and rocks in which the waves break.
The facades of the houses of Assilah are the annual setting of an art festival, which paints them with murals of different styles. You will also discover that the medina is full of bohemian-style stores. You can stop to buy clothes, pottery, jewelry or some other Moroccan souvenir.

Stop At: Cromlech de Mzoura, Mzoura Morocco
Prehistoric jewel 15 km from Assilah is the unknown Cromlech of Mzora. It is a small set of monoliths in a circle, and is the only megalithic monument known to all of North Africa. It is a recommended option if you like history and magical sites.

Stop At: Lixus, Larache Morocco
Lixus is an interesting Roman site on the hill overlooking the city of Larache. From there you can enjoy the beautiful panoramic view of the Loukkos River and its beautiful delta. The site shows a complete Roman ecosystem of houses, interesting remains of its fish factory, some temple, mosaics and even an amphitheater from which to contemplate the sunset. The visit can be guided with the guardian of the enclosure.

At present, a fishing port, Larache was founded in the Middle Ages and Portugal, Spain and Morocco are part of its history. The influence of its colonial past is reflected in the architecture of its buildings. You will enjoy a walk through the medina, passing through the Liberation Square, from which the main streets of the colonial city and the Kasbah, before our return to Tangier.
