Tinghir Trip Overview
For a truly nomadic experience, don your rucksack and strike off on this 3-day hiking adventure. You’ll start in Tizgui village at the entrance of Todgha Gorge. With a mule to carry supplies and a local guide at your side, you’ll spend 3 days hiking across the high plateau, stopping for two nights in nomad camps to sleep beneath vast stars and discovering how nomadic shepherds have lived for thousands of years. Your destination is Msemrir, in the Dades Valley, where we’ll pick you up in a Land Rover for our return to Todgha Gorge.

Itinerary
Day 1: Hiking Day 1 – Start from Todra Gorge
Stop At: Aventures Verticales Maroc, R703 Tizgui, Tinerhir 45800 Morocco
We’ll meet at our shop, Aventures Verticales Maroc, at the entrance of the Todra Gorge. You’ll meet your guide and your mule and we’ll go over your equipment and itinerary before you strike off!
Duration: 30 minutes
Stop At: Todgha Gorge, R 703 near the town of Tinerhir, Tinerhir 45520 Morocco
You’ll strike out on your adventure from the Todra Gorge, climbing high into the mountains rising up from the gorge. After about 5 hours of hiking you’ll spend the night in a rustic nomad camp.

Day 2: Hiking Day 2 – The High Plateau
Stop At: Todgha Gorge, R 703 near the town of Tinerhir, Tinerhir 45520 Morocco
You’ll spend the day hiking along the High Plateau, among the expensive desert environment.
Duration: 5 hours
Meals included:
• Breakfast: Breakfast in nomad camp
• Dinner: Dinner in nomad camp
Accommodation included: Camp in nomad camp
Day 3: Hiking Day 3 – Msemrir and Transport back to Todra Gorge
Stop At: Dades Gorges, R704 Atlas Mountains, Boumalne Dades 45350 Morocco
You’ll spend the morning hiking before your arrival in Msemrir. We’ll meet you there with the Land Rover for your return to Todra Gorge. You’ll have the choice to either drive back over the High Plateau on trails, or take the paved road to visit Dades Valley. You’ll spend the night with us in our guest house in Todra Gorge or a well-deserved hot shower, delicious meal, and comfortable bed!
