We will begin the trip to the hill of 14 colors, also known as the Serranías del Hornocal. We will depart from the city of Salta to enter the province of Jujuy, where we will visit the Quebrada de Humahuaca, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, we will pass through the town of Volcán, Purmamarca where we will find the majestic Cerro de los 7 Colores; Tilcara; Humahuaca, the largest town in the ravine; Uquía, a small town where the ancient paintings of the Arquebusier Angels reside; Huacalera, where we step on the imaginary cut of the Tropic of Capricorn and finally, La Paleta del Pintor in Maimará. Once you reach Uquía, you transfer to a 4×4 vehicle where the road to Hornocal will begin to enjoy those magnificent panoramic views. On the way back there is a stop in Humahuaca for 20 minutes. It is recommended to bring food for lunch since there is no time to stop at a restaurant in Humahuaca.

The photogenic incense sticks From early morning everyday, the incense sticks are shredded from bamboos. Then the dyeing process takes place, when a layer of red color is applied onto almost a half of the stick. The sticks are then dried out in the sun, in bundles. These bundles are arranged to look like small umbrellas in order to get as much light as possible. The sticks create a layer of deep red color on the photos. And any subject at the font, such as a worker, would stand out really well and eye-catching. Later in the day, the sticks are collected, tied in bigger bundles before loading onto small trucks and travel to other places.

At the beginning of our tour we will enter a trip of approximately 2 hours towards the East of Antioquia, where we will leave the city to immerse ourselves in the Colombian countryside. We will visit El Viejo Peñol, a replica of the old town, which was flooded to make way for a large hydroelectric power station that supplies energy to a percentage of the country's population. We will continue to the famous Rock of Guatapé, a huge monolith of approximately 220 meters, which inside houses more than 750 steps to reach the top, approximately 2137 meters above sea level. We will climb the rock to be able to contemplate one of the most majestic views of Colombia. Later we will make a walk through Guatapé, one of the most colorful towns in Colombia, with typical architecture, conservation of their houses and countless crafts that will make you go back in time and marvel at the magic and culture that encloses this place.

NOTE: The Lukla flights to and from Kathmandu had been shifted to Manthali Airport, Ramechhap district in 2019 & 2020 due to heavy air traffic during peak trekking season (Mar, Apr, May, Oct, Nov). But, for now, the flights are directly between Kathmandu and Lukla. Extra cost would be applicable if airlines don't provide any shuttle services or if you want to take a private vehicle instead of the shared ride provided by the airlines.
