During the Hunting you will take a brake for a cheese tasting with black truffle scratched on top, the experience ends with a wine tasting. The price for the truffle hunting experience does not include the tartufaiolo’s fee, which is 40€ for two people and 30€ for groups of 3 or more. The fee will be paid directly to the tartufaiolo in cash during the experience, based on the total number of participants in the group that day.

This tour is the best opportunity to visit spectacular Alba Iulia Citadel and to complete it with a tour and wine tasting at citadel cellar: Vinoteca Hugo. The Alba Iulia bastion fortification is the largest fortress in Romania, which has been standing for more than 300 years. Is the place where you can travel over two millennia back in time, strolling, among vestiges of three fortifications, dating back to as many different epochs. In other words, every fortress built here has embraced a previous one: the Roman castrum, the medieval fortress and the Alba Carolina Citadel. For more than 70 years, the Catacombs of the Citadel, hosts a wine cellar with a collection of over 5,000 wine bottles, produced between 1952-1972. For several decades, visits to the citadel cellar were restricted.The cellar was renovated in 2018, and was open to visitors. Now you can take a tour in this spectacular cellar and taste the wines from collection, that includes over 12,000 bottles of premium wines.

I'm a professional truffle hunter from 3 generations in Alba. My grandfather after the 2nd world war was one of the first truffle hunters in Alba, he taught my father all the secrets about the precious "ipogean fungus" then my father taught it to me. I'm a dog trainer & actually I've got 3 great dogs: Isi, Palli & Lisa. I would like to teach "some' 'of my truffle hunting secrets to travelers. During the tour you will be helped by my friend Margherita. She's an official tourist guide with great passion for truffles and local traditions to translate every part of the hunting.

After a visit to the winery with wine explanations, you can enjoy an aperitif with superior wines before sitting down at your booked table. The menu includes three typical appetizers of the Langhe, two first courses from farmers, a traditional second course with side dish and a dessert from the chef.
