Starting your trip from Nafplion, your first stop is the archaeological site of Mycenae. Visit Ancient Corinth and the Corinth Canal.  The location of countless ancient myths, like the myth of Sisyphus and there were games like the Olympics held in the devotional area of Isthmia. Although the city was destroyed by Romans,The ancient city was destroyed by the Romans, who built a new city in its place; we can still see the extensive ruins (including the columns of the Temple of Apollo) that testify to Corinth’s great prosperity. It is also one of the places that Saint Paul visited and wrote letters to. As we cross the Isthmus, we stop to see the great feat of engineering that finally opened the route between the Gulf of Corinth and the Saronic Gulf – the Corinth Canal. It was finished in 1893, even though the idea existed at least as far back as 602 BC!

Firstly we will start by crossing the highway and stop at the Canal (Isthmus) of Corinth. The Isthmus of Corinth is a narrow strip of land that connects mainland Greece to Peloponnese, while the canal drilled across it connects the Saronic with the Corinthian Gulf, thus connecting the Aegean Sea with the Ionian Sea. The length of of the Isthmus is about 6 kilometers and the narrowest point is where the Corinth Canal has been drilled (1880 to 1893).
