We will start the experience by visiting two of the most popular tourist attractions in the country: the world-famous Panama Canal and the Casco Viejo(Colonial City). Our first or last stop could be the Miraflores visitor center(depending on the transit schedule of the ships), where we will see the Canal in full action and watch up close vessels passing through the locks. We will also enjoy a 3D movie at the IMAX Theater. After that, we'll travel along Balboa Avenue, taking in the sights of modern Panama City, also known as the "Manhattan of Central America," until we reach our final destination, the Colonial Casco Viejo. In Casco Viejo, we'll take a walking tour, visit all its plazas and colonial buildings, and end our experience with a stunning view of the Panama City skyline from the Amador Causeway.

Half-Day Casco Viejo The Real City Guided with a Local Touch Tour
Rated 5 Stars, based on 7 Reviews.
This is a highly personalize experience with a max of 6 people that brings the person to the three (3) historical neighborhoods Casco Viejo (Old Town), Santa Ana, and El Chorrillo. The focus is on Santa Ana. Throughout the tour I will be giving old history, advise on safety in different areas, best food stands, social history, tips on visiting the city, etc. This tour will allow the guests to not waste time getting to know the area on their own and then go to see the Panama Canal for the 1400-1500 window the ships pass through generally. We will start in the Casco Viejo to try a coffee tasting (at one of my favorite cafés) to learn about the local specialty coffees. Then go into Santa Ana for a taste of real Panama with several food tastings and then back into Casco for more of the traditional tour with many current local touches. Included in the price of the tour are many local food tastings, juice, coffee, and local chocolate.
