The Etna sunset excursion is one of the most suggestive summer tours, as it allows you to visit, aboard our 4 × 4, some of the most interesting places on Etna until sunset. You will admire the Valle del Bove, an immense amphitheater that tells the geological history of the volcano. You will walk on the edge of some side craters where you can admire the panorama from 2000 meters and the extinguished lava flows of various eras. Finally, you will admire the colors of the Etna sunset while enjoying a sweet aperitif based on almond and raisin wine. IMPORTANT NOTES: If you have a car we recommend that you reach our meeting point in Trecastagni in MontataGrande where you will find free and safe parking. Walk through the woods and extinct craters around Mt. Etna on this 6-hour sunset walking tour from Taormina. Learn about the fascinating and spectacular volcanic phenomena that have occurred there over time. Visit one of the most striking lava caves on Mt. Etna in a small group and then watch the sunset from a panoramic and impressive viewing point.

Surrounded by a landscape, sometimes lunar, we will try to get to know and explore Etna, a World Heritage Site, famous for its beauty and uniqueness. We will cross: Deserts of Black Sand; Ancient and recent lava flows; Old craters and lava tubes. Difficulty: Easy Maximum altitude: about 2100 m; Duration of the trek: about 1.5 / 2 hours; Height difference: about 100 m. In the event of adverse weather conditions or real security risks, the route can be changed!! Other things to keep in mind: The duration of the experience is indicative. Unpredictable situations could cause the experience to end later than expected. Arrived with the help of the cable car and 4×4 jeep at an altitude of 2800 meters we will have the opportunity to learn about the eruption of 2001 and then look out over the Valle del Bove, the immense depression that marks the eastern flank of the volcano. We will then climb up to the famous Tower of the Philosopher, and even higher waiting for the sunset at about 3000 meters above sea level, on the summit of the majestic Craters of 2002/2003. The long walk back will take place on characteristic volcanic sands, accompanied by starlight.
