This tour is unique in that you will be on guided shorter hikes in Mt. Rainier National Park. From November to June snowshoes/crampons will be provided when necessary since there is often snow on the trails in those months. We hike a few miles throughout the day and you will experience diverse landscapes and scenery such as glaciers, mountains, waterfalls, rivers, lakes, and tall trees in old-growth forest which are all the highlights in Mount Rainier National Park. (In the winter areas of the park may be closed some days and not all highlights will be accessible at times).

Probably the most famous flowers of the island are the giant Tajinastes (Echium Wildpretii) which bloom in the National Park in May. They only grow at an altitude of 2000m and are up to 3m in height. Also known as the tower of jewels and tajinaste rojo by the locals, this bizarre but beautiful plant is endemic to Tenerife and mainly found in the subalpine zone of Las Cañades de Teide. It is 10 km with 250 m of ascent/descent over undulating ground, maximum altitude 2,150 m taking approx 4 1/2 hours with a picnic stop for lunch (which you need to bring with at least 1L of water per person). This Copper Mile Trail offers expansive scenery of the Lower Salt River, with a grand view of Red Mountain. On this trail, you'll have a good chance of seeing the wild horses in the area. Your main destination on this trail will lead you to a historic abandoned mine last used in 1947! This Trail's difficulty rating is considered easy to moderately challenging (depending on the route you take). The length of the trail is about a 3-mile loop, with an elevation gain of about 242ft, and it's highest grade being 60%.
