We have brought fun and excitement and mixed it in with the beauty and cultural experiences the lake has to offer. We depart from our office in Panajachel and head over to the colorful village of Santa Catarina Palopo. In this village we are able to see and learn about local weavings, blankets, nahuales and other goods made and sold by the locals. At the plaza of this village, we visit a local coffee house where you can grind your own coffee and taste the locally grown beans. Once finished in Santa Catarina we hop back on our ATVs to the village of San Antonio Palopo. We visit local ceramic factory where we learn about the process to make all these incredible goods. If you are visiting the southern part of Lake Atitlan this is a tour you cannot miss. This tour will take you to mountain tops and lookouts of San Pedro la Laguna. Here we visit a few look outs located above the village where we are able to enjoy great views of San Pedro and San Juan La Laguna, the lake, and the Indian Nose aka “Rostro Maya or Nariz del Indio”. After the look outs of San Pedro we have our longest drive of the tour going all the way to San Marcos la Laguna passing the town of San Juan and San Pablo La Laguna. In San Marcos we visit the Natural Reserve of “Cerro Tzankujil”, where we can take a swim on the lake or enjoy the views from the rock / mountain formations. After enjoying some time at the natural reserve we will hop back on our ATVs and head back to San Juan La Laguna, where we visit the famous lookout named “Kaqasiiwaan” viewpoint.To get to the actual lookout we have to hike about 15 minutes up the steps which takes us there.

San Juan very nice decoration, painted streets the umbrellas and hat streets, murals, chocolate store, natural dyes weavers. San Pedro amazing views from wonderful look out points, local market and great places for having a drink or lunch.
Rides between towns are in tuk tuk.
After we take the boat going back to Panajachel relax in one of best resturants beside the lake shore.

This hike very known will guide you through stunning views, so be prepared. We will begin from Santa Cruz la Laguna and will end in San Marcos la Laguna. It is a up and down trail 9 km long. Relatively easy I recommended this hike for all ages.
