The tour takes place through one of the most historic (and haunted) buildings in Stratford upon Avon. The character guide will relate the history and ghostly tales relating to the building – from war and plague, to murder and apparitions! The 2025 Chiang Mai CAD Khomloy Sky Lantern Festival (AKA Yi Peng Lantern Festival) will be celebrated from November 5th to 6th at Chiang Mai Arts and Design (CAD), Thailand's largest government-sponsored mass sky lantern release venue. The Sky Lantern Festival is part of the Water Lantern Festival in Chiang Mai, Thailand. The activities of the Water Lantern Festival are free, and the water lanterns are purchased by themselves. However, for safety considerations, the Sky Lantern Festival will be held at a designated place for launching paper lanterns into the sky!

Our Lanterns are made of silk and bamboo and come in many shapes such as lotus, diamond, sunrise, sunset. We provide the bamboo that forms the base of your frame; you do the rest. Your instructor will show you how to make your lantern from the first to the last step and how to make your own Hoi An lantern. We provide beautiful silk so that you can choose your own color pattern, and design. Take this interesting course in lantern making from a helpful professional. Once completed, these lanterns are easy to fold, carry, or put in your luggage. Take an original, enjoyable, hand-made souvenir home from your visit to Hoi An. A once in a lifetime experience in Thailand, the Chiang Mai Authentic Sky Lantern Festival 2025 will be held on Nov.05, 2025. It's the second large-scale venue with about 7,000 paticipants to celebrate Yi Peng Lantern Festival, with breath taking views of thousands lanterns flying in the sky. We are Authorized Travel Agent for the selling offical tickets. 3:00 PM – 4:30 PM Meet us at the Chiangmai Railway Station. Show e-ticket on your cell phone to get on a train to the venue with breathtaking countryside view. 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM Welcome and Register. Enjoy acticities at handicraft village and Thai snacks and herbal drinks. 6:00 PM – 7:30 PM Enjoy Traditional Thai dinner with Northern Thai food, snack buffet and soft drink. 7:30 PM – 8:00 PM Enjoy art and Thai classical dance performances as well as tribal show. 8:00 PM – 9:00 PM Launching sky lanterns. 9:00 PM – 10:00 PM End of ceremony and transfer back to the city downtown.

The bamboo used for the experience is carefully selected by the craftsmen themselves from the local bamboo forests in Tottori. The bamboo is then dried for more than two years before being used for the experience. Near the bamboo lantern workshop is the area of Sekigane, famous for "The Tale of the Princess Kaguya", which is a tale of a princess from the moon who is discovered as a baby inside the stalk of a glowing bamboo plant. Have a special experience in a place associated with bamboo. The craftsman of the bamboo lantern workshop is such a great teacher that he is entrusted with decorating events in Kyoto, Nagoya, and other cities. Become an artist under a great teacher!
