You will be safely brought deep into the 10,000 Islands Wildlife Refuge for a two-hour interpretive tour of the area led by a Florida Master Naturalist. Depending on the season, you can expect to encounter manatees, dolphins, sea turtles, bald eagles, ospreys, herons, egrets, pelicans, rosette spoonbills, as well as, numerous species of fish and shore birds. You will visit an uninhabited barrier island where you can collect shells, sand dollars and other treasures! Note: June through October, we suggest the morning experiences due to the weather.

There is a reason that the Mangrove Tunnels of Lido Key are a must-do experience when visiting the Gulf Coast. We launch from Ted Sperling Nature Park (190 Taft Dr Sarasota FL) which has clean restrooms, a rinsing shower, and shaded picnic tables. Our amazing local guides from Sea Life Kayak Adventures take you on a tour of Little Sarasota Bay, where you may see manatees, dolphins, a variety of birds and sea life…then finish up in the famous mangrove tunnels, a beautiful canopy that meanders thru an island. The tour usually goes around 2 hours, but we aren't on a strict schedule, so please allow for an extra half hour. We are located just minutes from downtown Sarasota, 20 minutes from Siesta Key, and a half hour from Anna Maria Island and Bradenton (add time for traffic during high season. Silver Springs kayaking is open all year long, and it’s a fantastic place for adventure whenever you’re ready to go! Manatee season is November through March but there are 7 manatees that call Silver Springs home year round! So we have the possibility to see the occasional manatees. Whenever you decide to take the tour, you can count on blue, crystal clear water and tons of fascinating history about this 200 year-old attraction. Besides the possibility of seeing manatees and monkeys, there are all kinds of wildlife to be seen year round, and I’ve memorized all their hot-spots. I can’t wait to show you!
