Adventure with a marine biology educator along the coast and learn more about wildlife living in the intertidal zone of San Diego. Great for all ages and skill levels. There are some stairs and lots of uneven terrain we will walk on, so this is not a wheelchair-friendly activity. I taught middle and high school marine biology for more than a decade before committing to environmental tourism! With fifteen years of teaching youth and adults in outdoor education settings, plus my background in conservation biology, provides guests with in-depth (pun intended) knowledge of marine life during our tide pool exploration. Groups are kept small (10 people maximum, with exceptions for private groups/families) which makes this a more intimate and personal experience.

Bonadea II Ecological Whale Watching, 2 hours


We depart from dock 4 of Puerto Colón, we will set sail in search of cetaceans, we will navigate in the Teno-Rasca special conservation area and up to a distance of 3 miles from the coast, reaching a depth of one thousand meters. We will go in search of the Calderón tropical, one of the main resident species of Tenerife. From the moment we leave the pier very close to the coast, we can already find dolphins, turtles and seabirds. With luck, we may also see some of the migratory cetaceans that frequent the Canary Islands. We will approach them at a reasonable distance so as not to disturb them and to be able to observe, photograph and record them, the crew will be happy to explain and show you the information on the cetaceans that we have on board.

We are the only ones to carry out eco-tourist activity of observation of cetaceans in the Gulf of Catania, respecting the international code of good conduct approved by the Agreement for the Conservation of Cetaceans in the Black Sea, in the Mediterranean Sea and in the contiguous Atlantic areas, as well as "Friend of the Sea" certificates thanks to our low impact on the environment. Safety and professionalism in the navigation and monitoring of dolphins distinguish us, thanks to our crew always made up of technical skippers from the Italian motorboat federation and marine biologists with many years of experience in monitoring and protecting cetaceans in the Mediterranean. Your contribution will be used to support the monitoring and conservation of cetaceans in the Gulf, and will allow the disadvantaged children of Catania to be hosted on board free of charge during our events dedicated to the protection of the sea and its vulnerable species.
