The Tamarindo estuary is a long, vast river mouth with mangrove forest. It is located between Tamarindo and Playa Grande. The labyrinth of meanders, streams and lagoons is vast and rarely explored. It is a perfect 2.5 hour trip for nature lovers. You can paddle through the calm waters of the estuary, between Playa Tamarindo and Playa Grande. Using the EZ launching system at Sebago Trails Paddling, the tour will explore the water-carved bends and twists of a meandering stream unveiling local wildlife in a rustic backdrop. Then continue onto Jordan Bay of Sebago Lake as the guides share stories dating back to the settlements of the region.

Meru National Park is wild and beautiful. Straddling the equator and bisected by 13 rivers and numerous mountain-fed streams, it is an especially beautiful area of Kenya. It has diverse scenery from woodlands at 3,400ft(1,036m) on the slopes of Nyambeni Mountain Range, north east of Mt. Kenya, to wide open plains with meandering riverbanks dotted with doum palms.

We meet at Mandoon Estate Winery in Caversham and launch from Mandoon’s private jetty on the Swan River. We then paddle slowly down river, taking time to admire the natural beauty and unique flora and fauna of this special, serene, meandering section of the river. Our journey includes a number of ‘raft up’s’ where we get together ‘mid-stream’ for a chat and a story. We continue with our paddle arriving at the historical Woodbridge Park where we stop, get out and stretch our legs. A short paddle back to Mandoon sees us disembarking and walking you up to the Cellar Door to enjoy a well-earned wine tasting, coffee, tea or soft drink. A great way to end the day.

The Fairy Cave (Gua Kapor) and Wind Caves (Gua Angin) Nature Reserves are about an hour drive from Kuching City. The Fairy Cave is approximately 3 storeys high. A quick climb through the cave opens up into a main chamber. Sunlight streams into the chamber, affording spectacular views of the limestone.
