This one of the only thoroughbred breeding farms open to the public in the world. It is a unique attraction of outstanding natural beauty and home to some of the most magnificent horses and sumptuous gardens found anywhere in the world. Beginning in the early 1900s, the stud has produced some of the finest racehorses in Europe. Visitors can take a guided tour around the Stud where they will see stallions, mares and foals and our wonderful retired equine racing stars like Hurricane Fly and Beef or Salmon on the stud’s ‘Living Legend's’ team. A visit to the stud’s award winning interactive center, ‘The Irish Racehorse Experience’ truly brings to life the worlds of these magnificent animals. The Stud is also home to two remarkable gardens: the Japanese Gardens and St Fiachra’s Garden. Set on 850 acres the Stud offers an opportunity to become truly immersed within the heart of nature and provides a unique experience for everyone to enjoy.

You have the opportunity to see the unique breed of horses in the world which lives in our Karst area from 1580. It is not far from Piran. The stud Farm is called Lipica and the breed is Lipicanci. Why they are unique? Because stallions are born black or brown and witin 10 years become white like a snow.

The carriage ride that we offer allows you to discover the Normandy countryside at low speed and in a very original way. The bucolic and countryside atmosphere is given by the carriage itself. Our "Hungarian hunting station wagon" is in fact built entirely in varnished wood, with large wheels. She wanders slowly through the countryside and the village of Saint-Pierre-Azif.
