The history of Yakatabune dates back to the Heian period (794-1185) and the Edo period (1603-1868), where these traditional boats were used by nobles and merchants for entertainment. From late March to early April each year, cherry blossoms bloom across Japan, attracting many visitors. The 1-kilometer cherry blossom path along the Sumida River near Asakusa Temple is a historic viewing spot. Taking a boat cruise is a unique way to enjoy the beautiful blossoms while savoring exquisite cuisine!
