Morning pickup is 7:00–7:30 AM year-round. Afternoon pickup: 1:00 PM (May–Oct) or 1:30 PM (Nov–Mar). Times may vary by location; Copacabana is first.
Stay alert for the vibrant wildlife that inhabits the park! While exploring, you might catch a glimpse of cuatis, monkeys, toucans, turtles, frogs, and even sloths. Who knows what surprises nature has in store for you?
The trails range from easy to moderate, with some elevation to reach caves and waterfalls, so basic physical conditioning is recommended. All waterfalls have crystal-clear natural water from the park’s pristine basins.

Tijuca Forest and Botanical Garden
Enjoy close the natural diversity of Rio de Janeiro. Begin your tour at the Botanical Garden (options with and without tickets included) and visit the Sensory Garden, the Brazilwood (tree that gives name to the country), the Turtle Lake and the lake with the giant-water-lily. Walk through the bicentenary imperial palm trees as you go to the orchidarium and bromeliad house.
Then, visit the Vista Chinesa gazebo (on Saturdays and Sundays will be off the route as vehicles are not allowed) and enjoy a panoramic view of Rio de Janeiro. In a distance, you can also see Christ the Redeemer and Sugarloaf. Follow to an adventure at Tijuca National Forest, one of the largest urban forest in the world. Observe the Taunay Waterfall and walk through a simple trail as you learn more about the Atlantic Forest, its flora and fauna. Get back to the vehicle and pass by the famous São Conrado beach to observe the hang gliders and paragliders, before returning to the hotel through a panoramic route.

The largest urban forest in the world recovered by Emperor D. Pedro II has more than 350 species of animals and is one of those responsible for balancing the city's ecosystem.
We do not have boarding in Barra and Recreio for this tour.

Adventure & History at Tijuca Forest (small group or private)
This Tijuca Forest tour circuit, visits a variety of attractions in the National Park that are not well known so it has a more exclusive touch. HIking approx. 6,4 km (3.8 miles), on trails made in 19th century, when the area was occupied by coffee farms and you’ll discover and learn the history of Tijuca National Park, one of the largest replanted urban forest in the planet.
Along the way we visit Cascatinha Taunay (highes waterfall in the park), the Mayrink Chapel (from 1850), the Cova da Onça Bridge, the Eucalyptus Forest (an old slave cemetery) and the Bats’s Grotto (biggest gneiss cave in Brazil).
After that you cool off at Baronesa Cascade waterfall, and start descending to the starting point and on the way visitng some other historical attractions of the park.
The tour combines history, adventure, nature, a waterfall shower, among other attractions, visiting somehow hidden spots that reveal the beauty and personality of Rio and its tropical rainforest.

A challenging hike in a very unusual part of Tijuca Forest, one of the biggest urban forests in the world. On this circuit of trails you'll walk approx. 5h, for 10,4km (6.5mi), with an elevation gain of 848m (2,670ft) and discover the nature and beauty of the jungle. Reach the Taquara Hill (814m=2670ft), a 100m higher than Christ Redeemer with mazing views to the valley of the forest and the city, in clear days. Visit caves and also coffee farms ruin. After the hike, refresh in a waterfall* (bring towel/ bathing suit). On the route to the park, stop by another summit for pictures and admiring the landscape. The scenery of this tour is amazing with nature and a lot of adventure. You'll also learn the history of Brazil, of the forest, the coffee farms of that area, and the reforestation that happened in the 1800's.
*The flow on the falls varies according to the rain.

Starting with the hotel pickup, we head to the Tijuca National Park. Located in the middle of the Rio de Janeiro city, the Tijuca National Park was created in 1861 to reforest an area once destroyed by sugarcane and coffee plantations. Enjoy the fresh air and the green atmosphere.
At the end of the tour, you are taken back to your hotel.
We do this tour twice a day: In the morning or in the afternooon.
