Enter the National Park to visit Henrhyd Falls, the tallest and most spectacular waterfall in South Wales. Proceed to the heart of Bannau Brycheiniog and enjoy a short stop at the second oldest tree in Wales, a stunning yew tree that is 3018 years old. Stop in Brecon town, where you can admire the canals—voted the prettiest in Britain. Continue to the town of Merthyr Tydfil to tour Cyfarthfa Castle, located in a picturesque park (optional activity, entry free not included). Visit Castell Coch, a fairy-tale castle nestled in the woods. Take your time exploring this beautifully preserved building, rich in history, with its stunning decorations, paintings, and period furniture (entry free not included). Please note that the visit to the waterfalls will involve a 1-hour walk. The path may be steep and muddy, so we recommend wearing boots and rainproof clothing. If you find it difficult to keep up with the group, our driver may kindly ask you to wait at the safest point.
