Most people are familiar with Bourbon Street and the French Quarter, but many people don’t know Magazine Street, where our tour takes place and has a rich history around food, art, culture and nightlife. We’ll visit 4 different shops – trying donuts and beignets all along the way. Starting with traditional beignets with powdered sugar and a coffee in hand, we’ll learn about the neighborhoods rich history as it relates to New Orleans. At our second stop, we’ll follow that up with artisanal donuts at one of the best donut shops in New Orleans. After a short walk, we’ll have some super interesting beignets with various toppings and sauces, unlike anything you’ve tried before. And finally, we’ll end up at our last stop and we’ll have our last surprise on the tour. It’s sure to be a delicious and casual adventure you’re sure to enjoy. Our tour begins in the Sobro (South of Broadway) neighborhood at Parlor Doughnuts, one of the newest editions to the area. Here we’ll try some of their amazing donuts, featured above. After that, we’ll take a leisurely walk through downtown, stopping along the way to talk about the major entertainment district along Broadway. We’ll then continue our way to two amazing donut shops in the Arts District. We’ll end our tour at Donut Distillery in the Assembly Food Hall, which has plenty of options for delicious donuts, as well as other amazing food and drinks. We've always had a passion for donuts, but only recently did we realize just how many others do too. And when looking around, we didn't see anything that truly celebrated donuts in all their glory, hence the Underground Donut Tour was born. This tour is for anyone who truly enjoys donuts. Join us for a historic Donut adventure through our nation’s capital, Washington DC. Our tour begins in Western Market, which has a legacy dating back to 1802! There we will sample donuts made from a business that’s been in the same family for five generations. From there we’ll head downtown, where we’ll see a restaurant favored by a former President before passing by the White House itself for a perfect photo op. After soaking in some history at Lafayette Square, we’ll head deeper into DC to try some local fan favorite donuts from local celebrities. From there, we’ll head down Palmers Alley, the most instagrammable spot in DC, where we’ll end our adventure with delectable donuts with an international flavor. Our tour begins in the Financial District at Kane’s Donuts where we’ll sample several of their daily flavors. After which, we’ll take a leisurely stroll along the waterfront on our way over to Boston’s Public Market. While there, we’ll try some delicious donuts and apple cider. You’ll also learn some history around the market and have a moment to check out other vendors. On to our third stop, we’ll walk through Boston’s North End or “Little Italy” neighborhood – one of the oldest neighborhoods in Boston. In the North End, we’ll stop at one of the oldest bakeries in the neighborhood. We’ll have a uniquely Boston treat while we’re here. Lastly, we’ll walk back through the North End to end our tour back at the Public Market where we’ll finish with Union Square Donuts.
