Our first stop will be at the picturesque Village of Laneia; a walk through the beautiful flower lined streets and stone houses. Next stop will be in Troodos Square, in the surroundings of the pinewoods, you may enjoy a coffee break and wander around the stalls selling traditional products. Continuing up the mountains, we will arrive at the island’s most famous and wealthiest monastery, Kykkos. With its gold decoration, paintings and mosaics, the monastery possesses a precious icon of the Virgin Mary painted by the Apostle Luke. Following on the peak of the mountain, we will have the opportunity to visit the stunning Throni tis Panagias. Next, you will have time to relax and enjoy lunch at a nearby restaurant. After lunch, we will visit a winery for wine tasting. Here you can try a variety of locally produced exquisite wines. Lastly, we will stop at Omodos village; where you can visit Timios Stavros Monastery; the local bakery, try a Cypriot coffee made in the traditional way.

Our trip takes us through the picturesque Troodos Mountains, known for lush forests and fresh air. At the foot of Troodos Mountains lies Omodos, a charming village with cobbled streets and the Timios Stavros Monastery, home to a relic of the Holy Cross. Our route will pass through Pedoulas and Prodromos villages before heading to the famous Kykkos Monastery, founded in the 11th century. One of the richest monasteries in Cyprus, it houses the revered Virgin Mary icon, said to be painted by St. Luke. The monastery offers breathtaking views of the countryside. Nearby, we will visit the Tomb of Archbishop Makarios on Mount Throni (1,318m), overlooking Kykkos Monastery (1,140m). His final resting place offers stunning views of Cyprus and is a key pilgrimage site. Lastly, we will stop at a winery to taste Commandaria, Zivania, and other local wines.

Visit the Roman baths and amble through the site’s centrepiece, the Greco-Roman theatre where concerts are still being held to this day. Moving onwards, we visit Kolossi Castle, a former Crusaders' stronghold. It was built in the 12th century and is historically known for the production of Richard the Lionheart’s favourite wine, Commandaria. We’ll journey on to the mountain-wrapped stone village of Omodos and enjoy a guided walk along the narrow cobbled streets before a visit to the majestic monastery of the Holy Cross, one of the oldest monasteries on the island.
