From November until about May 10th (depends on the snow conditions), the Eagle's Nest direct access road is closed, alternatively we offer to visit the Rossfeld summit instead. The Sound of Music hiking scene was filmed at Rossfeld. From this vantage point, soak in panoramic views of the stunning Austrian and Bavarian Alps and the nearby Eagle's Nest.
