This class will make sure that you can work with our filter and the Secret Recipe of the master to make our beautiful coffee at home. In this class you will learn about the process of coffee from crop to cup: Learn the steps needed to roast dark beans so that they mix perfectly with sweet condensed milk, which is an improvisation made due to the limitations on the availability of fresh milk at French colonial time. We will make 5 different types of coffee : – Traditonal black coffee – Vietnamese happy white coffee – Hue Imperial Salt coffee – Ha Noi Capital Egg coffee – Fresh coconut coffee Enjoy your coffee with a cookie and Vietnamese Tea.

There are 2 activities about coffee that I will share with you: #1 • “Coffee cupping section”: You will experience how to taste coffee like a professional by joining a coffee cupping section of 5 different types of coffee beans and I will explain more about each coffee bean’s quality. I will also show you some basic coffee information just like wine (such as origin of coffee bean, varieties of coffee, processing method, roasting level, …) After that, you will understand more about coffee and Vietnamese coffee bean. #2 • “Make cà phê sữa đá by yourself!” I will tell you about history of coffee in Vietnam, how coffee came to us, how it affects our daily life and how Vietnamese coffee with condensed milk became our iconic drink. Then, you will follow my instruction to make Vietnamese traditional coffee – “Cà phê sữa đá”.

I am Thi from Vietnam, the 2nd largest coffee exporting country in the world. I have been working in F&B, especially in coffee industry for more than 7 years and from the beginning until now, I found many interesting things about this black holy grail, not just black or strong or bitter when you think about Vietnamese Coffee. I want to share with you all my amazing experience about coffee when you are in Viet Nam 😀 Our coffee place is in a small alley which is located in a lovely Tan Dinh area right in the heart of Sai Gon, where you can sit down, stay away from noise and stress for awhile, sip a nice cup of coffee as a gift for yourself after busy days, a relaxing atmosphere that you will be surely appreciated.

Arrival & Welcome (5 minutes) – Guests are greeted by Ryan, our Vietnamese-Australian Coffee Guide (top 3 in 'Latte Art' at Brisbane's Barista Competition), who gives a brief intro to the Egg Coffee experience. Vietnamese Coffee Culture & Egg Coffee (5 minutes) – Learn about Egg Coffee, Vietnamese coffee culture, and fun Robusta facts Hands-On Egg Coffee Making (30 minutes) – Learn to brew black coffee with a Phin. – Whip egg yolks, sugar, and condensed milk into frothy cream. – Assemble with condensed milk, coffee, and cocoa garnish. Tasting & Wrap-Up (5 minutes) – Enjoy your creation with customization tips, followed by a Q&A, certificates, and a group photo!
