Embark on a half-day adventure in Tijuca Forest! Morning pickup is 7:00–7:30 AM year-round. Afternoon pickup: 1:00 PM (May–Oct) or 1:30 PM (Nov–Mar). Times may vary by location; Copacabana is first. Stay alert for the vibrant wildlife that inhabits the park! While exploring, you might catch a glimpse of cuatis, monkeys, toucans, turtles, frogs, and even sloths. Who knows what surprises nature has in store for you? The trails range from easy to moderate, with some elevation to reach caves and waterfalls, so basic physical conditioning is recommended. All waterfalls have crystal-clear natural water from the park’s pristine basins. Get ready for the adventure of a lifetime! *Participants should be able to hike short sections with some elevation.

Begin your tour at the Botanical Garden (options with and without tickets included) and visit the Sensory Garden, the Brazilwood (tree that gives name to the country), the Turtle Lake and the lake with the giant-water-lily. Our speed boat tour starts from Barra da Tijuca neighborhood and goes to Tijuca Islands an archipelago located few kilometers from the coast. There we will do few stops for bath and snorkeling. This Tijuca Forest tour circuit, visits a variety of attractions in the National Park that are not well known so it has a more exclusive touch. HIking approx. 6,4 km (3.8 miles), on trails made in 19th century, when the area was occupied by coffee farms and you’ll discover and learn the history of Tijuca National Park, one of the largest replanted urban forest in the planet. Along the way we visit Cascatinha Taunay (highes waterfall in the park), the Mayrink Chapel (from 1850), the Cova da Onça Bridge, the Eucalyptus Forest (an old slave cemetery) and the Bats’s Grotto (biggest gneiss cave in Brazil). After that you cool off at Baronesa Cascade waterfall, and start descending to the starting point and on the way visitng some other historical attractions of the park. The tour combines history, adventure, nature, a waterfall shower, among other attractions, visiting somehow hidden spots that reveal the beauty and personality of Rio and its tropical rainforest.
