Full Day Cerro Tronador: Eternal Snow and Hanging Glaciers


Embark on an unforgettable adventure to Nahuel Huapi National Park, where the majestic Cerro Tronador stands as the guardian of eternal snows and glaciers. The thunderous echoes of its ice falls reveal the mystery behind its name. The journey begins in Bariloche along National Route 40 South, crossing breathtaking landscapes. We pass Huenuleo Pampa, Gutiérrez Lake, and Pilmayen and Melgarejo streams. At the 'watershed,' Mascardi Lake leads us to a charming gravel road, unveiling scenic views like Isla Corazón. We continue past Cerro Los Emparedados and the winding Manso Superior River to Pampa Linda, a perfect spot to admire Tronador. Through Vuriloches Valley and a lush forest, we reach Ventisquero Negro, a natural wonder. The excursion ends at the base of Cerro Tronador, standing at 3,454 meters, with its three peaks: International, Argentine, and Chilean.

Gourmet Glaciers Navigation


The journey begins at the private port La Soledad, located 47 kilometers from El Calafate. From there, at 9:00 AM we will set sail for the North Canal of Lake Argentino. The ice floes will decorate our passage through the Upsala Canal, from where we can see the Upsala Glacier about 15 km away. Then, we headed towards the Spegazzini Channel to see several hanging glaciers such as the Seco, Heim Sur, Peinetta, and then disembark at Puesto de Las Vacas. There we will take a 30-minute walk through an Andean Patagonian forest and its beaches. Upon returning to the boat we will enjoy lunch while we continue our walk until we reach the front of the highest glacier in the National Park: the Spegazzini Glacier. At this point we go to the Perito Moreno Glacier, where they can disembark on the footbridges for an hour and a half (if they choose this option). We will return to La Soledad port and return to the city at 06:00 PM.

Next, we will navigate towards the Spegazzini Channel, which offers unique views of incredible hanging glaciers such as the Seco Glacier, the Heim Sur Glacier, and the Peineta Glacier, all of which are the prelude to the main spectacle: the impressive Spegazzini Glacier. The largest of them all, it awaits you with a majestic view standing over 135 meters high. To crown this moment, we will disembark at Base Spegazzini right in front of the glacier to enjoy our modern Spegazzini Refuge, which is equipped with all the services you need during your day. Mayo Glacier Spirit Trek


The tour begins at Punta Bandera port, sailing along the Flood Canal to the Seno Mayo, where the Cerro Mayo and Cerro Negro glaciers meet. In Bahía Toro, we take a 700-meter interpretive hike through the Andean forest, visiting a waterfall and enjoying views of the hanging glaciers. Then, we sail to Cerro Negro, where we walk 1,000 meters to the base of the Black Glacier, surrounded by waterfalls. The tour ends with a sailing near the Perito Moreno Glacier, admiring its imposing front and the breaking zone. After disembarking at Puerto Moreno and walking the walkways for 1 hour, we return to Punta Bandera port.
