Walk alongside Penguins on Magdalene Island and navigate Marta Island


Walk alongside thousands of penguins on Isla Magdalena and see the diverse fauna of Isla Marta Cruise the Strait of Magellan to the Magdalene and Marta Islands. Magdalene Island hosts over 40,000 penguins each year and Marta Island hosts over 1,500 sea lions. We begin with this unique adventure, after checking in at our office, we head towards Bahia Laredo by transfer to embark on speedboats; for 45 minutes towards Magdalena Island, where we will disembark 1 hour with our guide to know the natural habitat of the Magellanic Penguins, in the largest colony in South America. We continue our journey to Marta Island to see Sea Lions (weather permitting), imperial cormorants and hundreds of southern seagulls. Then return to the pier and Punta Arenas. We'll also have a chance if luck goes with us to be able to spot Southern Dolphins, Overa Tonins and Sei Whales.

They can walk with penguins for 1 hour with a specialized guide who will inform you about the lives of these animals. First part of the tour: Walk with Penguins We will leave in a Bus traveling National Route N3 and Route J. Then we will sail 15 minutes to Hammer Island, where we will walk 1 hour alongside the Magellanic penguins and Papuans. Return to the city by bus. Second part of the tour: Navigation Beagle Channel We will sail through the Beagle Channel, where we can observe the Fueguin fauna on Bird Island and the Isle of Wolves, as well as the Les Eclaireurs Lighthouse. Magdalena Island Penguin Tour by Boat from Punta Arenas


Experience your own ‘March of the Penguins’ on Magdalena Island during a morning tour by boat from Punta Arenas. After cruising across the Strait of Magellan, land on this protected nature reserve and marvel at the thousands of Magellanic penguins milling about on the pebbly terrain that serves as their breeding grounds. King Penguin & Tierra del Fuego Tour


Explore the beautiful Patagonia full of flora and fauna, travel on a ferry and meet the King Penguin Colony, also discovering the Tierra del Fuego; origin of the Selknam culture. After crossing the Strait of Magellan and visiting Porvenir, we will go 114 km to the east, where the King Penguin Park is located, a unique sighting spot we will be able to observe a group of about 40 specimens of this species at close range. After 1 hour in the place we will continue our trip observing the helmet of the Estancia Josefina. We will also visit the Cerro Sombrero village. Finally we will cross again the Strait of Magellan. It is important to note that the times are estimated, they may vary depending on weather conditions and ferry schedules for navigation.

Navigation to the Penguins island – USHUAIA – Beagle Channel


We begin the navigation leaving from the Tourist Pier of our city, towards the center of the Beagle Channel, enjoying, as we move away, the panoramic view of the coast of Ushuaia. We sail towards the southwest, approaching the sea lions island observing their permanent habitat, in a wonderful setting. Continuing the navigation, we will go to the Birds island, habitat of Magellanic Cormorants and Imperial Cormorants, and a privileged sector to spot species of marine birds. We continue sailing towards the Les Eclaireurs Lighthouse. Following the south coast of the Isla Grande de Tierra del Fuego, when we get to Martillo Island, we will approach the beach and will observe how the colony of Magellanic Penguins that nest during the summer season approach the boat with remarkable curiosity, enter the sea by swimming under the catamaran and re-emerge. The Estancia San Lorenzo Natural Reserve is located within the Peninsula Valdés Protected Natural Area, 160 kilometers from the city of Puerto Madryn, in the province of Chubut, Patagonia Argentina. On its coasts is located a colony of more than 600,000 Magellanic penguins that can be visited between September 7 and March 31 of each year, making it the largest continental colony in the world.
