Visit the East side of El Yunque Rainforest and enjoy a 30-minute hike to the first waterfall. Admire the landscape, swim, rope swing, or free dive from multiple heights. Further up after a 15-minute hike, there is another watering hole with a waterslide and cliff jump into the river. Learn about the rainforest’s history, iguanas, guava trees, bamboo, and century-old trees. This adventure is ideal for nature lovers seeking an authentic Puerto Rican rainforest experience. Good physical condition is required; the hike is natural, very muddy, and fun. Transportation not provided. No Uber or taxis allowed. Upon arriving in Ceiba, we will commence with a 25-30 minute hike, which includes a brief river trek. Once we enter the outskirts of the forest, you will climb through rocks and trees to reach the pristine natural pools and waterfalls. Here, you can also swing from a rope or cliff jump. We will spend some time here before proceeding to the next stop, an advanced hike to higher natural pools that lead to exciting natural waterslides. We then return through the same path, with the option to swim part of the way. Throughout this excursion, your certified guide will share important information about the only tropical rainforest in the US Forest System, as well as intriguing facts about Puerto Rico's culture and history, while ensuring you have a safe, enjoyable, and informative experience. After the tour concludes, we will stop at a local restaurant for a late lunch (food cost not included) before returning to San Juan or your initial meeting point.

Explore El Yunque National Rain Forest with a certified tour guide, we begin driving up the mountain about 3,000 feet above sea level. First stop will be at Yokahu tower, an obsevation tower to appreciate and take expectacular photos of El Yunque, second we’ll be making a stop at La Coca falls to see the beauty of this natural wonder, third we’ll be making a hike for approximately 45 mnts in one of the available trails (intermediate trail). Next stop is a waterhole stop for swimming in one of the available rivers (swimming optional). IMPORTANT: Starting February 24, 2025 La Coca Waterfall will not be available for stop as advertised Due to construction on site for 2 months approximately. (Will drive by Waterfall and can be seen by the van)
