We offer kayaks for adults and also mini kayak for kids. Our experience is really special because of the ecosystem of the lagoon. The flora, the mangroves, the landscape and how the species live in their natural ecosystem is an experience added to the sport to be performed in the lagoon. These conservation efforts seek to educate and increase knowledge for their conservation and the enjoyment of these beauties.

Children under 4 years old do not get their own seat, but we can provide a small backrest so that two adults and one child (under 4) can comfortably share a double kayak.

This location is the ideal location for a first time paddler to try kayaking. The water is very shallow (less than waist deep) and we have an easy access point to the water. You can also have an opportunity to check out local wildlife as the access point is very near the Bodie Island Wildlife Refuge!

Long Lake is the centrepiece of Long Lake Provincial Park, a 5000+ acre wilderness oasis that borders on the edge of Halifax’s urban core, only a ten-minute drive from downtown Halifax, and central to the entire city. Long Lake was the City of Halifax’s principal water supply from the mid-1800’s to the 1970’s and a result it has always been protected from adjacent development that could negatively affect its water quality. The result is a 3 km+ long lake on the edge of the city with absolutely pristine water and an uninterrupted, unaltered natural shoreline.
